Recording 24-Bit Audio in Sound Forge 7

I am using the Digital S/PDIF-In on my sound card from my mixer's Digital S/PDIF Out. To record 24-Bit digital audio, do I just create a 24-Bit Audio file to record from in Sound Forge or are there in preferences I need to set in Windows or Sound Forge first?

just create a 24bit audio file initially and you're all good.
