Exclamation Tune ID (Goa Spiritual Trance w/ Choir samples)

"From where you are, you can hear their dreams!"

Some people may consider the style of this late 90's track to be IDM or Breakbeat or Experimental, but the tape came all the way from Goa! The DJ is Ma Faiza, whom I contacted already, but he/she cannot remember the track in question. Besides "Goa Spiritual Trance", other styles/places labelled on the tape are "Pune" and "Manali" (ring any bells)?

Download short sample...
Download long sample...

Any help would be much appreciated!

The track actually sounds familiar. I believe the main line is from a poem.

If you get the ID, check www.gemm.com for the vinyl before you do anything else. They have a lot of really rare stuff. You might find it there.

I've added an inlay scan to my initial post. I reckon the tape has been recorded from a CD...

what song number is the ID on the tape?

It's track number 6! I've added a longer sample if anyone's interested...

You sent her a clip of the track?

Yeah, my friend sent it to her a year ago, and showed me the reply from her email. Perhaps, if I sent her the Tape Inlay, she may remember what CD/source all the tracks came from...

Sounds like it might be one of the releases from the now non-existant koyote/peyote label..

Posted by eXrMusic on Sep-17-2004 23:54:

it sounds like:

Molella - Whistles Party

maybe the DJ Scotty remix?

I've heard the Progressive Mix, but my track sounds nothing like that, and has no whistles.

Thanks for posting the long sample. There are some things that I would change about the song, but otherwise I like it. It grew on me.

posting deliberate incorrect ID's on the unknown tracks forum is a fucking joke, do not do it.

Have you heard Molella - Whistle's Part (DJ Scotty Remix)?

It happens to be quite similar to this track, I have compared them and see now that they are not identical, but they are quite similar all the same.

So, Simcut, at least I tried to help identify this track here, your only contribution to this thread is to come in and flame me.

P.S: I was unaware that there are special rules in the unknown track forums that say you have to be completely sure that your track ID is correct before your post. This thread was in the music discussion forum at the time of my reply anyway, but I wouldn't expect the truth about that to get in the way of your chance to flame somebody, since that seems to be just about all you are doing right now.

wow, you really should take some reading lessons, first of all you misread my discogs thread deliberately and you thought I ran "Discogs", and now you say I have said that anyone its forbidden for anyone to get an ID wrong.

you've been here about five minutes and all you've done is go around and give ppl shit so, cut it out okay?

No way do they sound similar. I listened to that garbage piece of shit track last night after you raped my ears with Desert of Love and they do NOT sound the same. What are you...Molella's son or nephew? Geez.

You listened to the DJ Scotty remix? or some other remix?

Because the DJ scotty remix is very much alike.

Just because you don't like 1 or 2 DJ Scotty tracks that you've heard, doesn't mean that the rest of his are the same.

His music trancends genres; trance, psytrance, hard trance, hardstyle, progressive house, drum and bass & techno are all genres that he has released tracks in this year alone.

DJ Scotty is the master of shitmusic. frequently played at the kid parties for 12-13 year oldies.
