ConXion - Noctilucent(Sample)

Something I've been working on today.

Trying to work on another melody, but I've got a mental block

So I thought I'd share with you what I've got so far.

Nowhere near finished, but comments so far would be appreciated.

hmmmm....I dont know what I should think of this....not bad, not good....but it is only my opinions

Bassline is ok, but it eats to many room.
Not too fond of the buildup, it's not structured.
The crash is really disgusting, sorry but please low cut the hell out of this and put a reverb on it (it'll be better I promise )
Snares are a bit too loud I guess.
Im actualy waiting for a melody to come...

Will notice when you've finished this

Peace
-Jay

Thanx Jay M, the tip about the cymbals has really helped & the bass had too much stereo panning on it. Have centered that up and seems to take alot less room in the mix.

BuRo, you never give me any good feedback! Well, nothing constructive

Have nearly got a melody in place. Will repost when the track is finished.

conX... I continue to love your sound. This has some very similar sounds to that of your "Heroes" remix which I still love.

I really love the selection of instruments here, the bass is nice and the lead is fantastic. This is very U2ish structurally speaking. Kind of sounds like "Where the Streets Have No Name"...not melodically, per se, but ideally.

At 3:00ish, I expected a dramatic depart from the "standard" motif you had been playing...but it was more of the same.

I like your fills... the kick and percs sound fine to me as well. Some type of sine lead should come into play near where you end it...either that or something to pick up and carry your melody. Something in a different sound range to really "spice" up this piece.

Overall I'd say this is shaping up nicely! Always love to hear your stuff ConXion!
