V-Station Novastation problem in Cakewalk

I purchased this have the original discs and all

but im having trouble with it in Cake Walk Home Studio.

I know this is not the best sequencer .

but the t rouble I am having is when i record a patch to a midi track
and save and close the sequencer and go back and re open the project

that patch i saved is gone it is in the view but sounds like a piano
or rather than a trance synth,all of my other synths patches are all there and sound fine

this problem is ony with V-station ,maybe im doing something wrong if anone has the same problem
and knows what to do let me know.
