Aspiration - Eternity 2004 (George Hales Rework)
Hi Guys,
Scince i haven't posted anything in a while, ive got some a bit special this time round.
The track was a co-production between myself and daniel haze 2 years ago when we were better known as Aspiration. This is the reworking i done for 2004. Tried to give it a new sound and new direction with the same emotional vibe!
Feedback please!

Wow, sounds amazing. I didn't hear the original, but this version is great. The vocals are really beautiful, and come in at just the right time. Not much more to add except excellent work!
mmmmm very powerful
i dunno about the guitar synth, its too subtractory.... now the piano is better
vocal is a little quiet, cant figure out what shes saying
overall pretty kewl track, very chilling
peace out
niiiice
good rework
i like it
cheers for the feedback guys, its a shame the other 97 people who downloaded the track didn't show as much apreciation for this kind of thing.
George
this is quite nice, cheers for sharing
hey george, i like it! havent heard stuff from u in a while! but i do like this!!
Alright Geo! Finally getting my review down...
All the sounds - percs, melodies, bass, breakdown, piano, vocals - all sound great. Can't fault the overall sound one bit. However that melody (the one that starts at 1 minute and barely leaves until 8:20)just goes on and on and on and on and on. It would have been nicer if you'd used the piano melody a bit more in there, because it really does fit the style well.
Still a good tune though.
Cheers!
Excellent work,i really liked that track, nice emotional vibe!
damn man, this is awesome!
I really like the uplifting atmosphere around the whole track, so lush and airy
only thing I can really think of that I like less is the repetitive melody, get's kind of boring to hear the same notes all over.
A good way to vary it might be to add a submelody to it somewhere after the half track has gone by
listening now. i dont like the kick, it sounds a bit out of place, clap would be nice if it had a different kick to acompany it. bass sounds quite weak and muddy. Nice vocals and lead coming in. but this all seems quite standard trance so far. that lead is very nice tho! Altho when the filter on it is totally open it sounds quite hissy, maybe down with the reso when that happens.
nice pianoey (duno how else to describe it) synth, but maybe sounds a bit lofi perhaps due to the chorus.
oh now another piano in the break. really nice. the pads underneath tho sound horrile when they cahnge due to way too much release on them, they merge together and u get a muddy transistion between chords.
i like what you did to the vocal, its really nice and crisp sounding. that release really is starting to annoy me tho, there is way too much release.
nice build up out of the break but i was disapointed by the kick off. again you hear the release from that bassy pad as it all kicks off and u get a very messy kick off. its nice after the extra percs come in and the synth filters back up, but i would prefer to hear this happen straight after the break instead of it filtering down first. this would also make it a bit shorter which might be of value as this is pretty long for a standard trance track.
i quite like how everything drops down into the monotone bassline again, so you get a second build up, thats good, coz its a nice build up.
one thing i cant help notice about the bass... it seems to get louder as the note changes, this is usually because a strong low eq has been applied to the bass sound, which is some times dangerous unless you have a wide bandwidth on it, because it means as the frequency of the bass changes, the level of it also does. so maybe look at that.
nice synthy effects throughout!
All in all i enjoyed this and most of the comments are nit picking. I think it could definately do with a bit of mixing work and eq. maybe loose some of the reverb and definately sort out that release, its all sounding a little muddy at the mo.
keep up the good work
Mike

great rework, only think that sounds a bit weird to me is that the synth does sound like it has too much res/noise hi-freq on it when the filter is open.
Another good track here, haven't heard this one before. Melody is cool, vocal as well.
Bass seems a bit muddy indeed. Mike knows what to do about that lol
Good work.

i like teh bass drops.
but yeah, it's really good
great track
melodies are cool
Well i don't know anything about music making im just DJ, but i like this track. Track sounds great and melody is beautiful.
Good rework, you use your pro sounds and it's perfect for my pleasure !
The melody can be a bit improved but the atmosphere around makes the work instead...

that's a real trance beauty! those vocals are just awesome.
i would rate it 8/10
Haven't heard the original, but this is awesome!!
Can't find any flaws
Good work
thumbs up.
- The highs are bit too much.
- Kick need some work
- Fx is super cool
Love the start, my kinda rolling energy.
Wicked bass drop before the main bassline kicks in.
Like the overall sound, but the main melody does get a bit repetitive.
Dont mind the high's personally, I love that kinda stuff, specially in a club.
Overall, a bit generic, but I prefer generic trance that I actually like to some of 'alternative' crap out there
Since this is a rework I guess I can't really talk about the actual melodies, but they sound nice and chill, though it would be nice if there was some variation in the notes.
Production wise it is very clean. Though I would tighten up those hi hats, as they sound kind of muddy. Add some some unusual perc. elements and syncopation...I'm not trying to make this house tune, just a bit more interesting, like "Lethal Industry" by Tiesto...
Over all, its a very enjoyable track...not epic and not to suddle...
