yeah but it says right on top that you don't pay anything the balance is $0.

Trans Union is the biggest credit bureau in canada.

the information they give is legitimate.

It worked for me...no idea what that end score means though.

Posted by Pett on Sep-21-2004 23:09:

It worked for me too wooooo hoo....
a hell of a lot better then i had expected.

The Credit score at the end is a range from lowest credit (300) and best credit (900)

Posted by monishb on Sep-21-2004 23:26:

make sure its over 650 atleast...

Posted by LiL_Kandi_AngeL on Sep-21-2004 23:46:

900 is the best it can be???

just wondering

is it safe to get your credit report online? i had mine done for something else recently and it was good. i am kind of wary of giving all my info to any website... actually i get kinda paranoid when i give it to real people other than a bank, actually.

Posted by samhouse on Sep-21-2004 23:55:

the promotion must be over...
it said 14.99 for me..
:S

Excellent, everything seems to be in order here. The welfare cheques provide a steady household income and my drug dealer hasn't reported a single late payment!

There's also another way to check your credit rating. If I remember correctly, they're called Equifax. They have a 1-800 number that I don't have on hand.

If you go in to your local Financial institution, I'm sure they can provide the number to you. As for a cost, I am not sure if you are charged or not. However, I think it's free?

dEsidel, would you happen to know the number?

Posted by LiL_Kandi_AngeL on Sep-22-2004 02:31:

it isn't free.. if you call that number they will tell you that you need some number on your credit report to talk to someone.. I know cuz i tried lol you can get a free credit report sent to you via mail. All you have to do is send them your drivers license and maybe something else.. can't remember.. that's how i did it a few years ago

i think by law they have to give you a free one by mail but your only allowed to do it once a year.
if you are really impatient then you have to pay hehe

Posted by LiL_Kandi_AngeL on Sep-22-2004 02:34:

Also i would say to get the TransUnion one because i found it way easier to read and understand. It's straight to the point hehe

Equifax was a lil confusing.. unless they have changed it now

Posted by Ninjapimp on Sep-22-2004 03:21:

First off, 1000 is the theoretical limit towards the credit maximum. Most FICO/Empirica/Experian score models don't allow you over 800. The most important key as Maxtuh said is to make sure you're over 650.

Second (although I'm not 100% sure), I would wager a large sum of money that Equifax is actually the larger of the 2.

Thirdly, make sure the data they have is up-to-date. I have disgusting or premier credit depending on the credit bureau.

PS. DIE EQUIFAX!
