For anyone who has taken the SATs, here is your chance to rant and rave about how pointless that test is. Go ahead, knock yourself out.

1590 after 3 times taking the test (SAT's allow you to combine your best scores math/english into a total best score).
I didnt think they were pointless. They helped ensure that I would not have to pay for college, along with a healthy dose of affirmative action laws...
(Incidentally, Id like to say affirmative action should NOT be a law, is extremely unfair, and helps lower the standard of education by allowing colleges to admit minorities with subpar grades to fill quotas over deserving candidates [this is not the rule, but no much of an exception either])
1410... no practice, no preparation.. just me and a pencil
1140
good lord that was like 6 years ago. ugh.
Serial ATA (SATA) hardrives rule!
i didn't have to take the SAT...my ACT was amazing hehehe
i still took it though...scored alright...didn't study though
i'd kinda like to take it again actually...i wonder if i could get a 1600 nowadays? or at least pretty close...
i got a 1380 my first go and a 1420 my second go and after looking back on it all...doesnt really matter...as long as you dont wear a football helmet during daily life and can score over 1000 your all set

People put way too much emphasis on this type of crap
i saw a movie called "the perfect score" and those sat's interested me..until i saw the type of questions..googled it and found a few sat pdf's..
i really don't understand what's the big deal with this, it was too easy! is this test made for 9 or 12 years of study? if it's 9 i think it's a good test, but for 12, i think u should be ashamed if u think this is hard..

man .. when did i take the SAT ??
SAT sucks .. right now, i can pass the Math section with a perfect 800 , if i tried hard enough .. i think i got like a 760 or 770 when i was in high school .. something like that ..
then came the english part ..
i know my english .. my schizzle dizzles and my homeys and i can get "down with my bad self" .. i sucked at english ..
english sucks..
don't expect me to know the definition of words that i don't use .. and don't tell me to memorize the prefix and suffix of words i don't know .. i can't do it.. i didn't take latin .. that's probably my downfall.
I was pretty pissed I only got a 1270, but I knew I was going to Colorado University, and with the program I was in and grades this was good enough. Didn't prepare and surprisingly was fairly consitent between Math and Verbal, 88th percentile and 84th respectively.
That was strange since I scored 97th in Math and 64th in Verbal on the PSAT. I don't think my grasp of the English language improved that much over that one year. Standardized tests really don't mean too much, but I was still disappointed with my performance.
Well I could rant about what pointless bullshit it is and how it doesn't say anything about you, but frankly it's a more useful tool for college admissions than anything else because if nothing else it's uniform across all schools and communities.
My biggest complaint would be that they always seem to offer it only on Saturday mornings. Could you pick a worse time to test someone's cognitive abilities? I don't think so...
I think I got a 5.
And those five points were given to me probably just for putting my name. Oh well.
oh its pointless
i scored 1100, was still drunken from the night before :-D
walked in without prep to earn a 1330, im retaking it though and yes its overrated
I hated the SATs, got a 1270 on it. I think they're overrated and don't really tell much about the person.
Same thing with the ACT, waste of time...
I barely passed 1000, but I could care less now cause I got into an awesome tech school
although my GPA in high school was 3.8
never picked up a book to study
ever
that tells you something about the US education system doesn't it...
1420...
i was jazzed with the 420 in there. oh well. It is pointless...so much studying, and then once you get to uni, you find out that most admissions people really use when looking over applications...
Of course its pointless, its the American Educational system...
