Old school swearing

This forum's full of fecking events threads
So lets change tack

Picture the scene, you're an 11 year old back at school again, and some kid trips over the ball while playing footie in the playground. What do ya call him?

Spazz
Mongie

can't remember what else we used to say, but the pushing the tongue behind the bottom lip to create a dumb face was also popular.

Fanny! (Cheers to the Weegies for keeping this one alive! )

I also haven't heard "gobshite" in a good 5 years...

However, the ultimate insult at our primary school was "knob cheese and a half".

Or a 'watchbreaker' as we knew it at our school....

I'm on a one-man mission to bring the word 'skill' back into popular usage, as in the times when you were at school and used to do something good and then you'd go "that was fucking skill!"

From what I remember:

Fanny
Mongo (complete with hand slapping and sound effects)
C*nt (the c word is censored... why?)
Gubshite (thanks for reminding me Joe )
Bender
Poof
Gayboy
Bentknob

Yeah, one of the main things I remember about being 11 was that being called gay or bent was the height of insultedness (i just made up that word, probably...) And if you were shit at football, kids would assume you were gay.

Prannet was quite popular in my year group...never did find out what it was supposed to mean.

Well you dont have to worry about reinstating it round these parts! Already back in practice in many forms - 'Good skills'!
