Esi Waveterminal 192M & Sound Forge 7.0

i have bought an Esi Waveterminal 192M lately ~
i tried to record my own dj set in soundforge 7.0 through
waveterminal 192m ~ but the final sound came very low ~
have i done any setup things wrong ?
thanksin advance for any kind helps ~

I use Pioneer DJM 3000 with it's Rec. Out to do the recordin ~

I dunno if it helps but you could normalize it first and see what happens. Also, I dunno about your soundcard but I have a Soundblaster Live and in its drivers you can choose what you want to record (wave, line in, mic in) and its volume, maybe you have something similar and the volume is quite low?

i didn't know i should normalize it ~ thanks a lot man ~ it works fine now ~

However, normalizing should be done to maximize the volume but with good sound input already; I mean, I always record my mixes around -6db and then normalize it to 0db, you should try to have a decent signal goin' through already, if not, try the drivers thingie I said. If you're already recording at around -6 db then normalizing it is more than enough IMO

mate , where can i set it -6db ?

it's the master output from the mixer. I always have it set up so that when mixing 2 tracks they won't go higher than -6db
