UPDATED: Remixing Dido...(Prog!)

Hey everyone..

was a bit bored and thought i'd start on "Sand on my shoes"
something rather "proggy", not too deep and not too "light"

http://www.matthewadams.de/~deekay/didormxv1.mp3

thats what ive done so far...more to come (updates posted here)

why sand in my shoes?. it has already quite some remixes, but anyhow, this sounds pretty nice, altho i think it sounds like you took some ideas from steve lawler's remix

uhmm have I ?
actually i only heard the steve lawler remix once and cant remember what it sounds like so it must be coincidence

sounds great... nice solid builup... warm feeling... dont like that reverbed clap, tho... could be me. if you really want it prog try to make the bassline a lil bit deeper and darker

Not bad so far. You could use some more atmospheric effects.

I love the way you've gone wild with delays on the vocals in the beginning. You should keep the delays on the vocals, just with a lower delay volume.

I'd like to hear more of it.

being a production freakkk...i enjoy the pro sound,,,the kick the processing..u know what i mean..i rarely see it on this forum....bitcrushing...
thats where its fucking at. bitcrushing IS the shit and needs to be used more in these forums!

i say dont keep the vocals only in the breakdown.....or keep them and lower the attack and raise the release and maybe a transient modder to keep it from fucking up the beat

but its nice man

mmm i gotta say i love it!
veryyyyyyyyy chilling beats and relaxing
best remix so far that ive heard of this song, and im not into this style even,

That stutter at the chorus. Beautiful.

I'm not really liking your breaks all that much. They're kind of distracting.
