Some comic relief

Surely everyone can find some humor in this.

Yeah, I watched Swaggart talking about killing homos. Good for a laugh or two.

Here's a good one. Gee, those crazy flyboys gotta do something for a few laughs as well.

what's the speed of those jets? 1000 mph? 1500 mph? the picture is too crisp, at that speed i think the jet would be a little more blurry

and for doing something like that i'd have to believe the pilot would be kicked out of the force, not just grounded.

at the level its flying, its probably flying less than mach 1 (760MPH at sea level)

An F-14 with the wings out like that...doing a 90 degree pass, nose high .... probably around 190-265 knots....

The whole pass could not be at this angle at this altitude...it was probably rolled in that position for a second or so...enough to get the photo before rolling out...unless in a tight turn with enough rudder authority and thrust to create lift...you'd need the "big picture" to find that out.

When high speed passes are done....above 300 knots...the F-14 will have the wings swept in a high speed/dogfight configuration.

Note: my speed numbers are only based on the 4 years of Aerodynamics I took years ago...I don't know the exact speeds of the 14...but it's definately slower than many think...the aircraft configuration gives it away.
