jury duty?
i recently got a letter in the mail, letting me know that i've got jury duty possibly.
that pisses me off...how do i get out of doing this?
Tell them you're racist. Or you hate women. I dunno...something that would make them think you wouldn't be able to form an unbiased opinion.
ask the judge if you can still hang people in your state.
ahhhhhh my brother just got that same letter....... it looks tough to get out of. tell em your a student?
hurry you got 5 days or they're coming for you!
tell them you're psychologically imblanaced, or that you're racist to everyone except yourself. If all fails, fall asleep, or get the squits, no1 will want to sit next to u just incase they catch it
wear jeans to court and when they say you're not allowed to wear denim, say "oh i didn't know, I'll go home and change"
then go home and sleep instead
call them and explain to them in detail that you do not understand or speak english very well so there is no possible way you could sit through a trial and make a good decision.
why are you trying to dodge it? i kinda want to go do jury duty hehehe...but i don't think they'd pick me to serve...i'd pursuade everyone to my verdict hehehe

Why worry
Heck, I signed a letter, which you must or you are fined a huge amount to be basically on a jury selection roster in 2004 and I have not been called. Brad, you don't work fulltime, so you should welcome something that does not allow you to waste time and smoke weed. Even if you got called, you spend 5 days downtown and you could get chosen for a jury trial but why worry brad, with your opinions and views, I doubt you would be on a jury. You can always claim that it will cost a lot of money and claim you are self employed.
think of it this way...
its a day off of work that your boss has to pay you for HAHAHA

Are you related to a police officer? I'm pretty sure that you can get out of Jury Duty if you have someone in immediate family who is a cop, especially if they are a cop in the same district 
Maybe I'm wrong though - I just know that my mom was summoned in California but got out of it because my aunt (her sister) was part of Oceanside Police Dept. (Cal.)\

I dont think that Ill get jury duty while Im at school out of state... because, well, Im out of state. They cant have me do it here in Indiana because Im not a resident... and I cant very well drive 6 hours to Cleveland for it. Although, I wouldnt mind doing it once for the experience.
Unless its a big trial, it will likely be over in a day or two. I wouldnt worry about it. The summons pool is huge.
But I disagree with not wanting to be on the jury. Thats pretty morally weak.

Get yourself arrested before jury duty. That should work!

actually from what i hear from my friend who did jury duty...you end up sitting around all day with a bunch of stupid idiots that try and convince the other stupid idiots how smart they are. it might be good for a laugh hahah
Just tell them you hate cops. Almost every case involves cops in some way or another.
Upon any questioning, answer with the most opinionated option.
Youll almost surely be dismissed.
It's too bad you're not in the US.
If you get jury duty there, you're allowed to take drugs or be drunk on the job and they can't hold it against you because of a supreme court ruling.
here in los angeles, they don't care if your a student or can't speak english. saying your a student doesn't fly anymore because they say you get vacation which can be used for jury duty. so if you say 'i'm a student' they'll just say to re-schedule it. i don't know why they don't let you off if you don't speak english. one of the customers from my work doesn't speak a word of english just cantonese and he still had to go to jury duty.
hell my dad runs a business and they still wouldn't let him off jury duty. i mean if he's at jury duty how the hell is the business gonna get run.
