Smiley DJ New Delerium Track Underwater!

There is a new Delerium track just out featuring a lady called Rani with an Above & Beyond remix which is pretty good, it is no Silence though but a good melodic uplifting trance tume all the same.

Has anybody checked it out yet? what do you think, and do any of you know if there are any other remixes in the pipeline.

Later Turbotrance

As far as I know Delerium has nothing to do with Trance. Their "Silence" release got a good remix by Tiesto and became popular in the Trance community; I've also heard "Innocente," but it was too slow and "out there" for my tastes.

You can clearly hear Celtic influence in Delerium's songs. How close they are to Trance is a matter of opinion.

Delerium is like Orbital it's electronica. The orignal mix of silence has more breakbeat elements then trance but it's still a very good song. Inoccente was a good trax...the tiesto and lost witness mix make it a good trancey tune. I'm not sure if the new song is going to get a remix from Tiesto...but i know he has a deal with Delerium to do their remixes so i guess it will happen eventually, although i don't think it will become as big as Silence.

All the music we listen to fits in to the Electronica genre.
Delerium are more tribal than trance.
Delerium first got introduced to the Trance scene when Matt Darey remixed "Heaven's Earth" which was originally on a bonus disc for the delerium album called, "Karma", the original mix of "Silence" is also featured on that album.
Key South also did 2 remixes of "Heaven's Earth"

"Underwater" is taken from the latest Delerium album called "Poem"
this album also features "Innocente"

Another track from the album "Poem" was in the recent movie "Tomb Raider" and can be heard in the Lara shower scene. this track is called "Terra Firma"

As for DJ Tiesto having a deal with Delerium, unfortunatly not, Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber ( The men behind Delerium ) tend to approch various remixers and offer them their tracks and who ever does the best remix or remixes tend to get the copyright permission's to go ahead and release the track.
I am sure thou that cos Tiesto did such good jobs with "Silence" and "Innocente" there will be a tiesto remix in the making.

As far as i know there is only currently the "Above & Beyond" remix, the "Mauves Dark Vocal" Mix, the "Hydrogen Rockers" mix and the "orignal" mix around at the moment.

PS. my favorite track from the latest album "Poem" is "Aria"
i recomend you download that track and the Video which is on kazaa . .

Peace

POEM

I have POEM. It's a great relaxing CD. Check for the original version to Innocente - it's a deep, dark, ambient ballad --incredible. I wish Tiesto remixed every song on that album.

is it me?

or does anyone else feel that Tiesto's remixes have begun to sound cheesy?

Posted by clubsolutely on Oct-05-2001 13:06:

i have this delerium new song in "above & betond remix"
....had much expectations from this one but i didnt like it..!

It is not that Tiesto's remixes are becoming "Cheesy" it is just because the tracks he has remixed have been so popular and have sold well and gone mainstream, that when you hear the tune so many times on the Radio and at being played at Ritzy discos, that it loses so much of its allure.

Its not that it has become a bad tune it is just that it is played out. I am always as a DJ and a Tranceaddict searching for the next big tune that nobody else has or has heard of yet.

That unbeliveable feeling that sends a shiver down your spine when you hear the breakdown on a amazing new record.

Some examples are the first time I heard the Tilt remix of Children or Jose Amnesia The Eternal, or lately I luv the choons that Riva are putting out

Admittingly there has been fewer about in the last year or so with the Trance backlash and the rise of Progressive, but they are out there if you search for them and here at Tranceaddict where people share their knowledge is a great place to do that.

Later

i dont care what anyone says SILENCE, INNOCENTE AND FLESH ARE INCREDIBLE STILL IN MY MIND

Posted by sothis on Oct-07-2001 09:18:

if any of you are from an industrial background at all (like me), you would have been familiar with delerium a long time ago probably

i tend to like front line assembly a lot more than delerium... because the recent stuff thats come out has been really enya-ish. i encourage all of you guys to check out delerium songs/albums besides just the trance remixes such as silence, etc.. or even check out front line assembly - implode, or epitaph (the new album). both albums are very mellow-ish and ambient sounding, i love them. it might not be techno, but its still great music

Yep yep i whole heartedly agree, Front Line Assembly are great !
also check out Pro Tech, Intermix, Noise Unit, Cyberaktif, Will, Equinox and Synaesthesia.

All good stuff done by the Delerium Guys.

Great Delerium tracks to check out are Consensual Worlds, Aria, Euphoria (firefly) and Flowers Become Screens . . .

Peace
