I'm not sure if any of those events are still happening on those dates, at those places
Can anyone confirm (or deny) any of them?

it looks like junkie XL/jimmy van M are not playing at crobar this friday. instead it's palash, and low end specialists.

This is funny. Cosmic Gate is cancelled? I hope not...
Markus Schulz is cancelled, I've seen a posting by his wife on the forum.
Marco V is cancelled, I guess he's over in SF, but will be here in November.
Now Junkie XL and Jimmy Van M are cancelled too.
I guess I'll have to wait for Deep Dish 10/8 to get excited again.

hey there, im one of the promoters in NYC who seeks to take part in the best of EDM events going down in the city. and if not to say the least, i like to make sure the events i promote for are confirmed that the international DJs truely are coming.
in response to your post, this is an email i sent to Nic and Bossi's (Cosmic Gate) USA Booking Agent. here's her response.

Re: Cosmic Gate @ Ikon NYC (Anarchy at Godskitchen - NYC)
Hi there, I'm one of the promoters for Anarchy at Godskitchen and I just want to ask and see if you're able to give me a confirmation whether Cosmic Gate will be coming to NYC or not on the 2nd of October, 2004.
I am emailing you to ask if Cosmic Gate is confirmed to play at Godskitchen NYC on Saturday, October 2. There are conflicting reports of Bossi and Nic not coming to NYC anymore, and that GK will no longer hold events at Ikon, NYC. Can you confirm with me please?
Please respond, I would greatly appreciate it.
- Christopher Yeung
Chris yes its correct that SPUNDAE will no longer be working with IKON, the show has been cancelled and im waiting for a NEW date from them, which will be in DEC
Diane
>> so as you can see, Bossi and Nic aren't coming to NYC anymore. i shouldve posted it up in TA when i got this, but i didnt see much of a Cosmic Gate hype so i neglected to spread the word.
but anyways, if you guys are interested in events, you can get at me to purchase advance tickets or to be placed on my guestlist. i might no longer be working for Spundae for personal reasons, but I am still working for Avalon. some of yiu might already know me, i sold advance tickets for Ferry Corsten back in Feb, Mauro Picotto and CArl Cox back in March and OF COURSE Tiesto in June. I dont commit fake sales of advance tickets, so get at me if your interested in events going down at Avalon. i plan on picking up a batch of Ferry Corsten tickets for 10/23. ( MY NUMBER ONE FAVE DJ) hahaha, so if anyone is interested, contact me.

if you combined the talents of all those mentioned to make one Dj... that Dj still wouldn't hold the jock strap of Derrick Carter...
that is all.

blah blah blah you hate trance...why do you still post?

JXL and maybe Marco V are the only ones of those worth seeing.
don't forget about me! Im spinning in DC on the 3rd
lol

At Crobar instead of Junkie XL & Jimmy Van M you get to see Palash, Mike Whitmore, & Low End Specialists.
At Spirit instead of Markus Schulz theres Frank P, Sean Ink, & Frank Capello.
Marco V at Avalon was swapped with Bad Boy Bill. His new Avalon date is Nov 19th.
And if you accidently go to Cosmic Gate night at Ikon you will probably end up surrounded by 50,000 watts of R&B & Rap.

I love trance and house (Deep Dish, Hernan Cattaneo, Steve Lawler) and have seen Derrick Carter twice. It sucked! Mark Farina kicks his ass!
It's just a matter of opinion. Trance basically has more melody to it not just the same driving repetitious baselines (that my friend is the nature of EDM). Any music that you don't like "all sounds the same." For me, it's country or radio hip hop.
If anything sounds all the same, it's John Digweed's style.

not all of the artists are trance... so clearly its not hatred of a genre. besides no one has ever or will ever hear me criticize J00F or Goa Trance dj's... reevaluate the argument.
