Any lineup info for Celebration yet?

ey all,
considering coming back to Montreal to ring in the new year. Any info on the Celebration lineup yet? I know it's early, but i'm gonna have to plan pretty far in advance.
thanks.

It's coming!

Wow, is Aria starting to organize the big parties now??

Posted by Biggy on Sep-27-2004 17:16:

yep!

Tiesto at Bell Center December 10th, celebration, Bal en Blanc, Swirl and Cream. All these parties are organized by the consortium: Aria, 514 Productions, Guvernment and GEG.

And there is a possibility of more parties.

hahahaha seriously... anyway, I doubt there will be as many headliners as cream, given the fact it is NYE so every dj on the globe is in some sort of demand.. but a *little* diversity in the headliners is always nice.

my predictions (with zero basis)

Saeed or Palash
Ali or Sharam
Desyn Masiello
++

I HOPE I'm waaaaay off...

I pray for:

Dj Dan or Donald Glaude (BIG room PARTY music.. 'nuff said)
any swedish techno dj (a break from all the house, plus they are usually pretty cheap)
a live performance by Rabbit in the Moon (are they still around even? guaranteed their show would blow people away.. I want to see him wielding around a chainsaw like he did in '96 @ Chemical)

curious to see the lineup!

naturally... haha.. I mean, it's not a *safe* booking unless the dj has played montreal 3 or 4 times this year!

Anyway, on a more positive note, I am happy to hear that Aria & co. are $tepping in to keep these parties going.. we all know 514 went to shit after Swirl 2002... I was beginning to wonder if we would ever start to see the BIG parties again (the 2 circuit parties exempted).
Celebration *may* turn out to be my first 'party' in almost 3 years!

i heard some rumours, but i cant tell you what

lol

but i think that ARIA will do the job... but dont forget that 514 is still involved in the parties, and that they work hard to make it happen

they are an important part of the organisation crew imo

still, i think this year line-up should be hot, according to what ARIA brings on all year long

Posted by Kate Manus on Sep-30-2004 00:30:

I don't doubt 514 works hard to promote it.. but I wasn't really feelin' their status quo for the past few years, so any outside help i$ welcome.. imo. I miss big parties & dope lineups!

i'll keep an eye out.

GlobalSound is reporting that Sander K, Steve Lawler and Max Graham are already confirmed!! Sweet

Posted by KrinKer on Sep-30-2004 04:49:

Kate

As much as i like you

I think you're totally wrong ... techno is NOT a party music, too cold, it doesn't bring people together like ( i can't believe i'm gonna say that ) trance or house

if that's the case, then i'm there, no question.

Posted by Biggy on Sep-30-2004 06:06:

That's the case!

If you think Techno is not party music Krinker, come to Swirl this year and you will see by yourself!

Anyway, I think that all the people who attended Aria last friday for Liebing knows what I am talking about.

missed last yr - dont plan on it this yr IF sander
and co. come to town.

if its a prog/house party, i'm THERE.....

time to go back to *rave* school Krinker...

besides.. back in da day 514 had techno at many of their parties... including probably the most legendary Celebration.. with Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Luke Slater (I think) and John Acquaviva... or Carl Cox's Intec tour @ Connected with Christian Smith, John Selway, Bryan Zentz, Misstress B, C 1000... Before 514 went downhill they had techno in the lineup at most of their parties.

On the topic of Swirl... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go back to the original format... house/techno & then a hip hop room! The names they used to get for hip hop were soooo good.
peanut butter wolf, mix master mike, kid capri, dj rectangle..

Posted by djlemeir on Sep-30-2004 14:35:

get a-trak too!

Posted by Wisnia on Sep-30-2004 22:38:

hip hop?
I guess that would attract a lot more people = a lot more money = better parties?

Im not complaining about the parties
