I'll guess that this release never sees a more than a white label release. Here is why, Alanis Morisette has been asked numerous times over the years, can we use your tune for a song and everytime someone has asked, the same idiotic answer has come from her via maverick. NO!!!!!. Hybrid did a spanking mix of so pure but Alanis turned it down, so the Hybrid boys decided to make a pisstake of her, they took the vocal out and left the rest and called it Jaded Little Pill, (her first album was called Jagged Little Pill). PvD did a remix of the couch and that was turned down, uninvited was done as a BiR remix for dj sets, they made a few copies and gave it to tall paul, pete tong, oakie and PvD and Sasha, if I remember correctly. They said NO again, Alanis is not like Sarah Mclachlan who says remix my stuff. So I doubt you will find much more than a white label release, Alanis hates dance music, that's known and Maverick backs her up on that.

andy, this is a proper fucking release, commisioned by maverick

Posted by torontotrance on Oct-03-2004 16:10:

alanis sold out then

probably needs more money to pay for her upcoming marriage to Ryan Reynolds.

Posted by torontotrance on Oct-03-2004 16:12:

and what the hell is alanis now allowing 2 second rate C class producers after she turned down the geniuses of the EDM industry

in PvD, Hybrid and BiR

I'll never listen to it or buy her stuff, she has totally lost all respect that I ever had for her.

Posted by JayD on Oct-03-2004 16:31:

That's ignorant.

If the music is good, if the producer's put time in making the music good, then I'd buy it.

Who cares what she's done / said in her past.

I find it difficult to understand, why she turned down the amazing three mixes and picked this one, so I've lost respect for her, some part due to her bitching about CDN politics as well.

Posted by JayD on Oct-03-2004 16:45:

Maybe she just didn't like them.. Maybe she didn't want them to be released at the time. Maybe they were asking for too much money.

Who know's. Tiesto said in an interview that Sarah Mclachlan didn't like his remix of "Silence" until she saw the response and how much money it made. Thus her music now get's the remix's it does.

You never know except what people tell you so....

Anyway, with that said and back on original topic at hand.

Youre obviously 14 or something. ALANIS never turned down anything, its Maverick that controlled most of her earlier songs to be remixed allowed (for lack of better words). She never bitched about Canadian politics so youre on crack there (It was Americanization and American politics). If you think arists control their music youre living in a pipe dream somewhere down by the lake. In popular music artists need to be established to have that dream and now alanis is and she is offering remixes of her song9s). She never hated dance music, and i dont know why you would say that. She has said she is a fan of Paul van Dyk...

Anyway...does anyone have a sample i just want to hear some of it.

It was'nt Maverick little man that controlled it, Alanis said herself that she hated dance music, maybe she has changed her views. She bitched about CDN politics like the floozy that she is, I've always had a tremendous problem with musicians getting into politics and dissing politicians, just cuz they can. Alanis has always controlled her fate with Maverick, she has pretty much done things her way since Jagged Little Pill and she can pretty much do what she wants, after all the money she made. I'm of the opinion that if Alanis wanted the mixes released, then they would have been released and Maverick probably would have happily counted the extra revenue. Sarah Mclachlan hated a lot of music, till she realized it opened up a new fan base and made more money for her (as if she needs more money)

She never bitched about Canadian Politics you are crossing your information. So please stop thinking. And you know nothing about alanis...so why are you speaking like you are Maverick or Alanis herself. Im sorry if i was an Artist i wouldnt care who was remixing me or what was going on...i dont think she even thought about it.

Lastly, please give me evidence written or verbal that states Alanis Morissette hates dance music...

You take thing's way too personal.

Who care's what she does and what she does with her music? It's her's. In the end it's not that serious to care about..

If she hates dance music.. If she doesn't want thing's released. It's her loss.

Relax.
