Air

Aight people. back in july i made the first installation of my mix series which im makin for me and a group of mates. it was called AirV1 and the people that heard it was like, w000t! and now they are after AirV1.2 which i will be making sometime mid-october. here was the tracklisting for V1

Whiteroom
Whiteroom

ATN
Miss a day

Matt Darey
Intoxicate

Woody van Eyden
Unfinished Symphony
Funaki remix

Sensation
The Anthem 2004
The Rush Original edit

Marc la Cruz
Eriel

Ferry Corsten
Its time
Luke Slater remix

Frank T.R.A.X.
Take me away
Extended mix

Deepest Blue
Shooting Star
Smith and Pledger remix

4 Strings
Turn it around
Sander van Doorn remix

The mix was recorded at 152 bpm and it actualy sounded well good! i bought it down to the original speed for turn it around for a kinda climax effect.

I need help however with Air V1.2 as for coming up with ideas. Ive posted the track listing for AirV1 to see if anyone has any ideas on tunes to play for V1.2 Im after some upfront stuff here. Melodic tunes to begin with like Whiteroom and ATN, hard tunes for the middle, like Sensation anthem and Eriel, and some decent remixes of cheese tunes, like shooting star and turn it around.

remember, its gotta sound cool at 152 bpm. im thinking of ending the new mix with Beat pushers - Murto, but i dunno how respected that 1 is as i havnt seen anyone mention it yet.

Would be cool to check out peoples opinions, and also any ideas u guys have got.

p.s. Anyone know if Marcos vs. Jay Walker - Apache 7 is new? I've only recently got hold of it, and never heard of it before.

Maybe put the cheese/vocal on top, than the melodic, than a crossover between melodic and hard (like Eriel) and than just hard pounding stuff...

Well, at least, if I was a good mixer I think I would build up my sets like that...

Or...begin with an awesome bassline...
Like in 'Can U Dig it' from Jam X and DeLeon...

I am not really into the new tracks... I listen to whatever comes by....but for this moment I like:
Evolution - Walking on Fire (B&J remix)
Chicane - Love on the run (B&J remix)
Accuface - The Change
Saltwater - Strange (Alphazone rmx)
DuMonde - Kalt (The track no one likes over here )
Evil Angel - Today (Alphazone rmx)
Organ Donors - Mental Atmosphere
Organ Donors - Blackout
Ernesto vs. Bastian - Who's the starter
Ernesto vs. Bastian - Darkside of the moon (Isn't available yet)

The original bpm of White Room is around 135...how can this possibly sound good at 152?

If i could, i would have it online, but i dont have any webspace, so there goes that idea. lol

Good choice there, mate!
Kalt truly is a kickass track!!
I had such a big discussion on this forums with people saying it was cheesy and bad and nothing compared to 'Never Look Back'...

Never look back was brilliant, but in all honesty, if it was released now, it would be totaly dated. Kalt shows a different side of dumonde, admitably, but need i say, not for the worst. its all apart of the evolution of trance. an artist starts off using sounds of different artists they like before developing there own sound, getting promoted, continuing to use there sound, and eventualy growing out of it, so expanding there style. i see people on this forum critisizing acts because they think they are talentless, but if they critisize when a talented artist uses there talent to expand there credibility, i realy dont know what they want.

Kalt rocks, and will continue to for me
