Anti French

So I see a lot of american people talk bad about the french. I would say many americans are "anti french". Why is this? because they dont think like you and because they oppose your policies (and were proven right about it LOL). Or what is this whole anti french thing about? i just find it funny considering that you are always bashing about people beeing anti americans...

I don't think its hate,

I don't think their president is very popular here, like Bush is there. His position has been very anti American in general, not just in Iraq.

Opposing the Iraqi war wasn't the problem but the problem was how fickle they were about every detail going their way.

They call us arrogant but their arrogance has been made fun of in tv and movies for decades.

They are a member of the security council, when in reality they never were a world power.

They always seem to lose battles quite handidly and that gets poked at quite frequently.

They constantly degrade other European members, especially the news ones, creating a barrer between old and new europe.

No you got it all wrong, you're looking at the glass half empty. Israel is a big proponent of minority rights! Afterall if it were for the tyranny of the majority Israel wouldn't mind being part of the 'Arab bortherhood'. It is indeed because it is so strongly for minority rights that it choses not to be.

I think most Americans who behave anti-French are really just joking. There are a fair number of people who are serious, but they're just the same kind of people who always need to have someone to pick on in order to feel good about themselves - and they exist in every country.

that's about how it stands, granted the french are snooty to us for only speaking one launguage. maybe if they'd start winning some wars, more people will learn to speak french
