you're dead wrong, it was really great!

It was very substanitive and policy-oriented.

That was one of the best debates I've ever seen.

I don't like either one of them - Kerry won't stfu about Vietnam and his 'i know what THAT'S like' BS, and Bush is just a dolt. That said, I might end up voting for Nader, despite it not doing even one bit of good.. :P But I prefer Kerry over Bush, just by a bit.

i just finished reading the transcript by msnbc (unfortunately i haven't had the opportunity to view the debate.. if anyone knows where i could download a televised copy, please let me know). on the first read through, both seemed rather strong, with bush botching the putin question. even with the grammar check, his response seemed very confused.

upon reading the second time, i began to realize that i was reading half of bush's two minute responses in under 10 seconds, and that he seemed to have the same response regardless of the question (though to his credit, he did switch themes twice).

kerry's responses read very well, and he seemed to answer every question asked with confidence. bush was the one with the most direct experience of the subject debated, and kerry made him look like he spent a lot of time on vacation. not good for the incumbant. if bush loses his composure in the town hall like he did tonight, he may be spending even more time in Texas.

i like how everyone at the end of the debate gets all touchy-feely-smiley with each other....did you see two wives shaking each others hands and laughing like good buddies? ha!

Then again, this was Bush's strongest subject, and if its showed that Kerry won this debate.. then the Bush supporters, and Bush himself should be scared, because the next debates, is where Bush is actually weak.. ( imagine that ).. those will b good!!
