Greece 2000 (Mark Norman Remix!)

Caught word from i:vibes. I normally dislike updates, but somehow this strikes me as having potential.

Purely speculative (I know no one has heard it or anything), but what are your opinions of the match-up?

doesnt do anything for me.i want to hear new exciting stuff and stop revamping old classics.its just a sure fire way to make a quick buck.

sadly its a road most big producers are going down now anyway.IMO the g+m project mix was the greatest to the original.

woo cant wait!

Hmmm well I think as long as Mark Norman ADDS a new vibe to the track, perhaps something along the line of "Phantom Manor" then he could make this classic alive again, but it's seriously time to stop remixing old classics ESPECIALLY this one!

I 100% Agree

If mark norman will change their sound for a change it might be good...other than that it would suck cuz thier sound is getting old and bad...

i bet it sounds like overkill with a small greece 2000 riff i nthe middles.

seriously.

it will be shit, mark norman needs a kick up the arse.

i'm with Mosh and Ste. hard synths won't fit the melody.

wtf? we dont need another Greece 2000 remix

Posted by montana on Oct-01-2004 12:17:

what is the matter with people, isn't the 10000 remixes of greece 2000 enough, no, of course not. you need another remix with a new kick and a new intro and still nothing new to the table. can't people stop remaking & remixing tracks that has already a million of remixes.

let them do what they wanna do. Music is freedom.

I thought Greece 2000 was already updated? Maybe they're pushing for 2000 remixes. Anyway, the 2003 mixes were prime examples of updates of classics...

Plastic Angel showed that you can in fact remix an old anthem and breathe new life into it.

G&M Project demonstrated that Plastic Angel's mix was very, very rare indeed, because 99% of updates are, like theirs, shit.

Won't judge Mark Norman's mix until I've heard it, but I'd be surprised indeed if it's worth listening to.
