Tail lights aside, pimp. BMW more of a girl / gay car though. I would definitely date a girl with a Beamer though - never catch me driving one.

uhhh gay car? fuck that, Celica is a bitch car not a beamer.

anyways i'm gonna give up any hopes of purchasing the new 3-series after checking those pictures out!! tailights are looking like damn pancakes.

Now i cant wait till the new Lexus IS remake comes out!

Obviously you haven't been informed. Thats okay though. You're right on the Celica.

plenty of times. Girls driving the 4 door M3's too. Lots of older asian women drive 7 series vehicals around here.

Posted by AwakenedAddict on Oct-01-2004 15:29:

sI've seen women driving Porche GT3's, it doesn't make it any less of a car IMO.

Both the new 3-series and the IS300 got UGLIFIED... used to be two of my fav models.. now they look craptastic.

The rear of the BMW is pretty uninspired. Reminds me a little of Honda Civic.
I gotta admit though I do like they way BMW are going with the profiles and fronts of their cars - I'm a sucker for sexy curves and creases like those, the rear is not so fantastic.

The Lexus has the potential to be a very nice car, but its about 30% short of being at that stage.

Posted by NiteMer on Oct-01-2004 15:38:

I'd drive a beemer anyday. I'm secure enough in my sexuality to not worry about it. A Miata on the other hand. That's pushing it.

Don't like the tailights much, but the front end looks awesome. I like the 2001 or 2002 330ci, or an M3.

lexus = over priced toyota or nissan (whatever japanese car make, i forget)

BMW...chick/gay car?? da hell are you smoking....i can understand a specific model being girly, but that's a very generalized statement.

if you're gonna go luxury, go german, enough said.

i'd take a bmw over mercedes any day...

the new BMW 6 series is very sleek and sexy and it reminds me of a big porsche...

the 745Li literally rides like it's on air, and the luxury components on the interior are amazing....if you can learn everything! i think there's like a course you have to take in order to work all the gadgets.

I saw a cherry red CL65 AMG today, I nearly shat my pants

saw that pretty machine driving down LSD on my way to work, the one i saw was yellow. didnt care for the color but i would learn to like it if i had to.

My uncle has a very limited edition Mercedes in Norway, but it doesn't have the model number on it. I don't know for sure what it is. I'm thinking like an S500, but I think he said they only made 100 or something. It has the sensors for parking so that you don't hit anything, cherrywood dash. It is sick.

Word.

BMW is a good car in general, and they usually don't look bad either imo. But the taillights on that one... I gotta agree.

Posted by Greedy on Oct-01-2004 16:57:

looks too generic and not much different from a civic. I would much rather get the new Acura TL.

Posted by NiteMer on Oct-01-2004 17:06:

I love my Civic though. 4 door SI with LS-VTEC, SI suspension and brakes, and GSR Tranny and Axles. All from an LX too. My car used to suck royal ass. Now it's a pretty fun ride. I need to do my exhaust and get a cold air intake as well as paint the car, but it's coming along. I wanted to do the B20 conversion, but I don't wanna spend another $1000 for the block.

Posted by Slylee on Oct-01-2004 17:07:

if i had to chose a benz... CL55AMG all the way.

*edit* pic

i think the showy benzes are totally over priced...they lose like 15k in value as soon as you drive it off the lot, in my opinion.

my bf has a 2004 SL500, and he's had more problems with that thing than ...not like engine problems, but the interior and mechanical stuff. i was detailing it the other day, and when i was wiping down the head rest part of the seat w/ a leather wipe, all the stitching came lose and like part of the leather covering was hanging off...it clips right back in, but still, i was like what the fuck! $110k car...that should NOT be happening...his trunk acts up a lot too when clicking it open. it gets stuck and you have to click it like 3 times...and just little things like that, it's annoying. i think that car should only be about 80k.

his best friend has the 745Li, and i've driven it a few times (i love being designated driver when we go out drinking..lol) there's no comparison. i mean, the SL is more fun, and has plenty of power, but i just prefer the other one. that's me though.

*edit* neither can hang with this baby though

New BMW: Kinda like the front actually, esp how it's similar to the new Audis (the hood scooping all the way forward, to the bottom-front).
Don't like the rear, esp the bumper - too big! Reminds me of a Maxima.

New Lexus: *BARF*

Posted by NiteMer on Oct-01-2004 17:14:

My friend wanted to get an SL500, but he already has way too many speeding tickets as it is.

German automobiles are great, but they are so high maintenance. I had a 2000 A4 and there was a lot of upkeep on it. Turbo probably made it worse, but still. And, of course, my warranty expires and there's all sorts of shit I have to fix. Japanese cars are so much easier to maintain, and way cheaper to maintain as well. I'll take convenience and reliability over flash and status any day.

Need more infos on the A4. It's the one car I've actually seriously considered purchasing. If you could make a short list of pros / cons and your overall opinion I'd much appreciate it

Posted by Slylee on Oct-01-2004 17:21:

or how about the masarati quattroporte

I saw both of these yesterday 2003 Porche GT3

and a 2004 Ferarri Modena 360

I currently drive a BMW 5-series, but I would probably buy the new Maserati over a BMW.

edit: it seems that the newish Aston Martin Vanquish has been the most influential car in a generation.

Bentley Continental
