Monster Bass n' Rhythm Thread
Alright guys, it's starting to feel like my grandmas house in here. So to spice things up and learn a few things too, I open the floor to the monster bassline thread.
What is it? This is your chance to show off you rhythmic skill.
Post a sample less than 1 minute long of your best bassline and percussion. Treat this almost like a standalone song, so it should have a degree of progression to it.
Try to keep any melodies out of it; Leads, for example. Pads should be ok I guess cuz you can really drive a rhythm if you do it properly. And dear god nothing less than 128kbps.
Do your best to have it well mixed and mastered.
Whats the point of this? There are so many of us on here, and honestly nothing interesting is happening, so its mostly for fun. But also an excellent way to learn some things. If you hear something in someones sample that you would like to know how to do, you can ask and be just that much more knowledgable.
I'll put something together and post in a day or so to get the ball rolling.
Or if you guys think this is stupid i'll just delete the thread, heh.

I'll try to whip something up, but I'm still quite amature.
What would be cool, is that if people also posted the "source" files from which ever program they used. If not fine, but it would be great if you did.
cool thread

Awesome idea, this'll help us polish our skills while at it
Let's try to keep this on the top...don't let it die. Well, let's see what I come up with.
Ok, looks like I'm 1st. I don't know where in the hell this came from, but it was fun. :41 @ 192Kbps
Something I Ate in the Jungle
Hahaha the title kills me.
It sounds very good, man...I imagined this reverberated shredding lead sound with it and it was nice as heck, hehe. I made one but my ears are too tired so I didn't want to upload something annoying to you guys' ears.
Woo! Sweet Pimp, killer ass congas, and I am a conga man.
Thank you, thank you. No loops. Programmed from samples of one shots.
rather enjoyed it, and took the time to listen to some of the other tracks while I was at it, good stuff. Lots of great basslines.

OK I woke up and started making something at 0946...it's now 1036. I couldn't come up with nothing good. Here are four of me:
crappybassline1
crappybassline2
crappybassline3
crappybassline4

Haha, Eat this bass. No loops, all one shot.
If anyone wants to see the FLStudio file for this i'd be happy to post it. Its unlikely that you will have all the plugins and samples i used, but you'll still be able to see the different patterns.
