Hello! [Uplifting Melodic] Alex Pea - Black Aurora

This one is pure uplifting melodic trance. There's a lot of energy, imo, and it's my best production.
-------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know of any other places than Soundclick to upload it fast, so... The file was too big for purevolume.com...

You have to be a member to download the song, but you can HiFi/LoFi-strem it!

hey there alex!

listening now...
imo you should remove that cheesy sample the in beginning... the bass rytm sounds very common... maybe too common.. dunno

sounds pretty nice at the breakdown at 2 min...

overall a nice production! nice piano!

cant really tell you anything more... its a nice tune.. but nothing special imo...

Posted by alexpea on Oct-02-2004 17:27:

Thanx!
You're right about the bassline, but I don't care. The track isn't supposed to be special in any way - just pure uplifting stuff.

I absolutely love the sample so...

Anyways..the tune gets a definite "HOT" vote for me. I like SoundClick personally.

This is epic! Love the bassline!!! Uplifting is totally my thing and this is fantastic...oh..wait..more critique right? okay..

DAYAMN! That piano is FINE! Nice sampling! HAHAH PUT YOUR HANDS UP IN THE AIR!!!

Incredible. Hey...this is staying on my Hard Drive boy!

okay...now...critique : At 4:00 nice break. At 5:00 even NICER break! You know...I just can't find any fault with this.

Thanks bro. I dig!

EDIT: Dude, the song with your sister is also H00j!

Wow, that's the nicest feedback I've ever got Thanx man! The reason why I chose to use those vocals is becuase I think this is a dancefloor tune, and the vocals really set the mood...So...

Again, thanx Digital Aura!

GREAT JOB.. (On repeat all afternoon! CANT GET SICK OF IT!!)

Posted by alexpea on Oct-03-2004 19:55:

I'm stoked! It's really nice to get such good feedback, especially after working so hard on the production

Posted by Digital Aura on Oct-03-2004 20:09:

well...Im stoked because I got to hear it before you got signed and got famous! LOL

Quality. The melody kicks my ass all afternoon. Love the sample too! Guess I better quit leavin comments LOL.

Although the name is cool, it doesn't really suit such an uplifting piece. Shoulda been something more happy!

Really like this.

Nice production. The vocal sample? I can live with or without it. But I think people will be putting their hands up without the prompt!!

The bassline is simple, but so what. It works!

Nice one, keep it up.

I'll probably not promote anything for a couple of months now, because I'm going in the army tomorrow... So... Music-producing is my love, and therefore it's very hard to leave

But I will try to get sent home after some days, and go back to producing! I love the feeling when I stand up in the morning, eat some breakfast and maybe go for a walk to get some inspiration. Mum and Dad is at work and my sister and brother at school, so the house is empty. Then I go inside, sit down at my computer... I put on my headphones - and BAM ---> I'm in heaven! Most of the time I try to listen to other amateur producers to get some inspiraton. Then I mess around in Reason, and if I create something I'm satisfied with - I keep on working with it. I produce all sorts of music, so you never know what to expect from me

So long........the army is waiting for me

nice kick, but dont like clap , really like the melody, but dont like voices despite these very good track

I love that bass fill at 1:07. It was so beautiful it almost made me cry.

That effect at 1:47 gets in the way of the piano too much. Tone it down or cut it entirely.

Is there a reverb on your snare from 3:50 to 4:02? It sounds like there isn't and it's kind of weird. It creates a totally different mood from what its been up until that point.

Oooh, pretty distortion guitar.

The last hit with the "hands up in the air" sample was cheesy. The fade out was much better without it.
