Using keyboard like a midi controller in Reason
Is possible use the keyboard like a midi controller in reason?
i cant do it
yes make sure all the drivers for the midi controller are installed and under preferance>midi in reason u need to set it to ur midi controller.
thanks for the reply but i want use my "pc standard keyboard" to play notes :P
is possible?
You need Bomes Mouse Keyboard or something similar.
No. A standard PC keyboard cannot send MIDI data.
yes it can, like nzo said (edit, no not send midi data, but it can function somewhat like a midi keyboard)
works crap though, no difference between hard and soft hitting the key and its just strange, the z to ? are the white keys and the line about that is nothing or black key
its possible anyway
thanks ppl i downloaded Bomes Mouse Keyboard and now works fine thanks!!!
Try a real keyboard and you're not going back... Ever.
Playing melodies on a regular PC keyboard is extremely hard imo. Especielly the sharp keys.
yes i want to buy a cheap casio keyboard
or a midi midi controller (radium)
Before you get a keyboard, think of what you need on it.
Some people like knobs, others sliders, so think of what will be easiest to use and get a keyboard with that feature.
For playing around you will want to be able to tweak a bunch of stuff at once, and if you hate knobs like I do, a keyboard with 10 knobs and one slider [like I stupidly got] will just get on your nerves after a while.
However, do pick something up, as Reason can do so much with a keyboard that people often forget about.
thanks jremking
