Hooligan - 'Here Me Now' (Grandchillas Mix)
then,,
Rapture by viio
Salt Tank Eugina

ended with The Phophecy CJ Bolland..
other good tracks - Lost Vageness, Silence,The Flesh

anastasia the main room was indeed very packed hmmmmmmmm i doubt they were 5000 people , do not exagerate

I chit chatted with a few bouncers, a promoter for 514 and someone who was helping. It total there were suposely over 6500 people and for Tiesto they estimated over 5000 people at the beginning of his set. Towards the end it thined out with maybe 4000 people. I left right after his set and it seemed lest than that.
Sona always over sells Tiesto because it cost them almost $35,000 to bring him here. Don't know if thats to bring him to Canada divided by two venues. But I remember taking to a rave promoter in Toronto who said they share within the providence but they never share with Montreal.

I did hun. Good job on shaking his hand & getting an autograph. Glad that u had magical night All I have to say is he betta play fresh tunes in 2 wks. We are a tough knowledgeable critical crowd not to say Montreal isn't but when u play in NYC u gotta bring it.

Twilogoddess you are so fucking stupid. DJ's don't have to play new tunes all the time. They can play whatever the fuck they want. You seerm to think that a DJ's job is promote new tunes. Well your fucking wrong and you're not the godess of trance...your a sad individual that doesn't know what you're talking about. People like you who think they know everything but really know shit piss me off

A GOOD TUNE IS NEVER TOO OLD: CJ BOLLAND - THE PROPHET

Posted by push01 on Oct-08-2001 19:20:

I really used to like Tiesto until he started caning the same songs Oakenfold was caning and it seems he is still doing that. I saw Tiesto in March here in NYC and he played Eugina, Flesh, Silence, Lost Vagueness then too. Now he played Seven Cities and the Prophet again also. All these songs are either on Oakey's Travelling or Another World cd's (released over almost 1 year ago) or tracks Oakey(& Tiesto)has been playing for like over a year now. I dont mind old tracks but Tiesto usually plays like only 2-3 hours so there is hardly any new tracks. I guess if you havent heard him live or if you dont have many of his sets it is cool but I am expecting more. This is my opinion. I hope when he comes to World here in NYC on Oct 20 he has some new records but I am not holding my breath.

No but they shouldn't play old tunes or the same tunes at every gig!

Ur arguement is completely childish & uncalled for. When Swamper wrote those rules bout juvenille fighting he was talking bout idiots like U!

Yea ur right bro, I'm sooo fuckin stupid cause I wanna hear new tunes Grow up! The bottom line is Tiesto has being play the same tunes for the past 8 months now & no one can deny that. Goin to see/hear a DJ is a concert for me, not a pill popping buffet. I don't need or want to spend $40 to hear seven cities & silence..I can listen to 1 of his sets. DJ's have access to promos, acetates, & white labels that won't be released for at least 6 months.

Yea... play some new fucking records Tiesto. If I wanted to hear old shit, I'd go hear Oakenfold!!!! Give Armin Van Buuren a call, he's got new vinyl...

both you guys make a good point

althought tiesto played a good set and a set that I would definitely be happy with because I've never heard any other dj around here in LA who can play a straight set of top 10/10 hits consecutively.

but at the same time, I'd like to hear something new, fresh and exciting. What I don't understand is -how can tiesto not be bored with the same tunes for the last 9 months?-

then again, tiesto is playing to the majority, the majority who doesn't know these tunes, unlike us, who know every fookin tune!

Question

Just because Tiesto played a few songs that have been around for a while, does that mean he didn't play any new songs? For those of us who were at SONA, his 4 hour set had some great anthems in it that most of us love. If he dropped 10 or so tracks that are old out of the 4 hours he spun, what's wrong with that? I love hearing a little of the old stuff mixed in with new tracks so I'm very thankful there are DJs like Tiesto who will still play some of my all time favorites (like Seven CIties and Eugina 200).

Much respect, Tiesto!!!!
