So i'm taking a course here at SLU.. Music and Technology.. and well.. it's mid terms..
The course is all about creating music with cubase.. (i'm sorry your school doesn't offer this course).. and here is my mid term project 
Since we're still in the beginning of the course.. I had to use just the included cubase 1.1 plugins.. A1 synth, lm-7 drum machine (909 emulate), and the cubase FX...
later on in the course I get to use audio percussion samples and the massive Korg Wavestation and Proteus 2 the school has 
anyway... here it is.. what just cubase can do... not too bad.. ignore the shitty kick.. 909, like i said :\

I had to re-create 'Hello' by Lionel Richie in MIDI as part of my Music Technology AS-Level coursework. Now that was interesting. As for your project, it's all sounding pretty good except for that pad which appears around 1m10s. Everything else sounds reasonably authentic, except that. Good work for Cubase though - I feel your pain! I didn't even try to make a trance composition for my course.
I think this is indeed good...
