So I just got out of a midterm (college), and as I was walking to the car I realized I fucked up on the essay. I simply confused civil liberties, with civil rights. What makes it worse is that that I answered the definition to civil liberties correctly in a multiple choice question just 10-15 #s before the essay, and remember reading the definition to civil liberties right before taking the exam. 
So basically I threw 10 points in the trash. 10 points I coulda used, and coulda gotten if I just had a clear mind for the night. I'll still pass the midterm, but according to my current average, the higher the grade the better.
(sigh) I rag on myself for about an hour if i do shitty on tests, but it goes away, so ill survive.

In the end, once you step from the school world into the real world the grades will mean fuck all. Don't believe all the propaganda the teachers tell you, as long as you know your shit well you'll get a good job without any problems.

Might not be as bad as you think if you still pass the test. Learn to react to what happens instead of what may happen. Granted, this is not conducive to normal business practice with worse case scenarios, but with college testing it should work after an exam.

I made it through Uni & I didtn study. I remember drinking alot. I dont know how the hell i passed my subjects. I beleive i was abducted by aliens & then my dog rewrote my homework. Moofer is a clever dog.
Failing ain't like failing at all, just pay for another round. College doesn't kick you out for eternity, it just makes you pay for stupidity.

Remember the episode where Bart was possibly going to have to repeat 4th grade? And it all came down to one history test. There was a snow day, and rather than resist the temptation and study he went out to play. Anyways, my point is this. Go to the teacher and tell him you fucked up, you know that (maybe not in those words). Then demonstrate to the teacher that you have some good knowledge about the subject (something analytical, not just a few facts or numbers from the book). Usually teachers are more impressed by your effort to learn than on any score on a test. Show them the pressure atmosphere of the test threw you off, but that you have legitimate knowledge from their teaching.
Also, if you want good grades, USE YOUR TEACHER'S OFFICE HOURS. THis will show that youre not only interested in the subject, but also interested in doing well. Drink a beer an hour later; whats an hour when your GPA is at stake?
I don't know what i can say except...better luck next year.
It's just a midterm, you still have the final. Just focus on that now. What's done is done. Suck up to the professor though, it always helps.

See, it is an easy course, the tests arent hard, no studying is even really needed/possible you just need to listen in class. And thats really what bothered me about fuckin that answer up. Cuz I knew it, and we all talked about it, all the time. I'm sure i'll pass the course, its just, a better grade on this woulda made it much more laid back for the rest of the semester.
If it was a tough course I wouldnt give myself so much flack. But this course is easy and readily available and should be taken advantage of.
