you wanted epic? the man delivered.
hands in the air.
nuff said.

the crowd was a little bit too gino / pornstar for my taste, but there were pockets of cool trancers to be found....

Tiesto Transgiving Toronto 2001 live video

Holy Jumpers. 2 batteries and ten security guards later, I got over an hour of Tiesto@Kool Haus video. Just got in and reviewed it - digital gold. I'm gonna email Swamper and see if it can be posted. Hope everyone had as indescribable a time as I did. Can you believe that with the headphones tossed out to the crowd at the end?? He's a fucking prince. Unfortunately my battery died just at the end of Urban train encore - missed the last song JVC for god sakes do you think you could bump it up to maybe a fifteen minute lifespan on the freaking batteries?? Peace to everyone who shared this tonight.

JJ

Smile What a solid set....

I was going to jet around 3:30am but I decided to stay it through. The crowd was just amazing...the tunes he was spinning top notch...I don't think that I can say anymore. Here are some previews of some of the pictures I took.

I also talked with a guy with a handheld DV camera and am going to try to get in touch with him in order to rip the video to DivX.

To all those that I met it was amazing meeting you...I honestly don't remember anyone's names cuz my ears were shot and I was having too much of a blast! So if we met lemmie know... ;-)

Ciao all,

M@

I'd like to be able to rip that video. Were you the dood with the little tiny palm dv camera? In any case I'd love a copy so that I can SVCD/VCD it and post it for all that want it.

Get in touch with me when you get the chance...

I left right after Urban Train, but I had to drag myself out because he droped that song with the lady saying "Free"...

Anyone know what else he played after that?

Posted by mute79 on Oct-07-2001 16:57:

Yves Deruyter - Feel Free (Tiesto mix) was the last track he played... it came right after urban train... fuck, i cant wait to check out the video of the party cuz it seriously was unbeliavable!!!

Posted by RaverFriendly on Oct-07-2001 18:15:

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

What an awesome night. I wanted to do one thing and that was SEE TIESTO LIVE and boy he did not disappoint. He played some of my favourite tracks. My legs were just dead by the time i got home.

I probably ran into several of you TA's out there but didn't get any1's name. I was the one in the "BLUE NEON GLASSES". My buddy Desidel brought them and gave em to me.. Thanx bro.. Who knew glasses could make you so many friends. LOL..

I got some pictures from that night and i'm gonna get them developed and scanned soon.

It was an awesome night too because i brought some friends who are new to the scene. Boy did they get spoiled. Ran into Swamper again.. nice to see again bro!

All in all it was probably the best night i've ever had!..

WOW!!! that was one hell of a night, Tiesto rocked my world, I absolutely lost my mind when he played Souvenir De Chine.

P.S. This is my first post and I'm glad to be here

Posted by Kytracid on Oct-07-2001 18:29:

What a epic night !!! The opening DJ was good...the crowd was good...and the music was unbelievable. I was there with my friends from NY for the entire night !!! Tiesto did not disappoint with his track selection throwing down monsters one after the other, although i have to say that i was really glad he spun Jose Amnesia - The Eternal !!! I love that trax

Other tracks i can remember

Viio - Rapture (Riva Mix)

CJ Bolland - The Prophet

Kosheen vs Dj Tiesto - Flight 643

DJ Tiesto - Urban Train

hmmm....i can't remember the rest i was too busy having one of the best parties of my life !!! And the best part is I'm still looking forward to Seamen tonite and PVD on Wed....ahhhh what a weekend

Posted by Don on Oct-07-2001 18:43:

I'm pretty sure he played the deep dish rmx and not the Riva...In his essential mix, he also played the deep dish rmx...

Posted by Viceroy on Oct-07-2001 18:47:

Yes, history was definitely made last night...never before have I been so tangled in a dj's furry of epic sounds. Tiesto blew my mind last night. I'm sure many people saw me, I was the really tall guy with the orange sunglasses on that would keep jumping up and down at every huge tune...I had so much fun

What made the night even more special for me was that I got to meet him and talk to him for a bit! ! ! I stuck around after, and everyone could go to the guvernments main room if they wanted...so I did. Low and behold Tiesto is at the bar just chattin away. I nervously approached him, and he was one of the nicest guys I'd ever met. I told him how I was from New York...and he implied to be NYC, even though I Live in Buffalo. He said that he was going to be in NYC at the end of October. He said that we need to get a smiles back in NYC. I told him he would be the perfect man for that job and he was so greatful. Such a class act.

I can't wait till he comes back....already!

Twas nice to meet all the TA's in full force!

A+, 2 thumbs up, 5 stars....!
Steve

What an amazing night !!
Tiesto was incredible ! Not prograssive at all.
100% pure trance ! He was a bit predictable(ie. Katana-Fancy Fair
rigth after Flight 643, and Urban train at the very end), but
he was still incredible !

Just to show how great Tiesto was, consider this: I came with two friends with who weren't really into Trance before.
After Tiesto's set, both of them were asking me when is he
coming again and whether they can borrows one of his CDs from me!!

I was a bit dissapointed though, that he didn't spin for 4 hours as promised and that there were not lazers in the room.

Other than, I'm already waiting for him to come back !!

Just got back from one of the most intense nights in my entire life. I've never seen tiesto before and I must say that he just completely nocked me on my ass. Last night was unbelievable, my only problem was the large amount of shirtless gino's that got mad at me everytime I accidently bumped into them, other than that it was a solid night. Met a lot of people and had an wicked time. Can't wait for next time. Peace

Posted by Project_Nemesis on Oct-07-2001 19:54:

I wish I went there....

Hopefully he'll be back after April 17th and play Flesh (DJ Tiesto mix).

DrunkenPolak, you from Warsaw too? Which part?

Posted by sKyBreAK on Oct-07-2001 20:11:

even at wemf the crowd wasn't this good

but to tell u the truth, the set he played wasn't as good as teh set he played at the docks a few months ago..

my ears are still ringing and its like 4 in the afternoon

Large amount of shirtless ginos.. for god's sake last night's party was a blessing compared to parties in Montreal that I'm accustommed with. I foudn the crowd amazing to say the least. A lot of energy.

I'm very dissapointed that most people left after Tiesto, I know I was going full force (montreal style) to the pretty good house/techno/progressive stuff ADDY put on. (sorta what happened last year for Orkidea)

And damn, I've never been to guvernment past 4am or so, but when I got in there a little before 7am, the place was sooo cracked out, the laser was on some preset sequence and people were just craked, big time.

Didn't meet too many TAs, next time.

Btw, look out for the recording, should be damn good quality (esp. since my friends didn't let me hold the md, since I was too busy loosing my mind..), btw unlike last year's taping, we took extra precautions not to talk in the mic, and a better mic was purchased.

i left after tiesto cuz i wasn't digging addy at all.
orkidea was a different story.... if you want people to stay after the headliner, put a good followup dj on...

WOOAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH

HOLY FUCKIN DIRT STINKIN SMELLY SHIT...............TIESTO FUCKIN RULES THE WORLD

that was the MOST incredible set I've heard.........and probably one of the best parties too............

did anyone notice....as soon as Tiesto was finished the party died down.......I went into the Guv afterward.......and as soon as I walk in......guess what song....that " LOSER, I NEED TO START BUYING NEW RECORDS " ( MARK OLIVER )....was spinning........
GIVE UP............c'mon people it's not hard...

JoY Energizer

the most played out song at the GUV

but anyway........the Guv wasn't that Hype and neither was Addy and the orange room was playing some cheese .........So, I left

but Tiesto stills rules the world......

When was there ever a good follow up DJ in T.O?

Posted by hypronix on Oct-07-2001 23:45:

flesh isn't Jan Johnston's song. Imean it was made by BT and then Oakie got it and I think now she has it.
but it's not her song.

where are the pix? some1 said there are pix here!
