-- Soul mate or clone?

Soul mate or clone?

Do you have a soul mate out there in this world who is actually your clone & is going to take over your life one day without you knowing about it?

discuss.

Posted by Arbiter on Oct-08-2004 04:05:

No.

Posted by sensorium on Oct-08-2004 04:07:

Hmm, it doesn't work that way.

Posted by torontotrance on Oct-08-2004 04:19:

no because I'm going to take over the world one day

seriously I imagine I do have a soulmate out there and she will be the woman that I marry. Please no more clones, one of the old me was bad enough.

I already keep my clone in the basement.

1 bowl of water and 1 slice of bread per day.

I have a younger clone who act and thinks just like me when I was younger. His life is much like mine aswell and he looks kinda like me, it's a bit scary. But we're good friends.
He's not taking over my life tho, I think you've watched to much television...

i have found my soulmate, and i would much prefer shagging her than a clone of me

if i do find a clone of me, i'll slap the fucker for nicking my ideas

with all the people out there in the world, i wonder that myself. i wonder if there is a chick out there, who is like 99.9% JUST like me...personality wise. that would be cool. as far as soul mate...i'm pretty sure i found him. it's weird how when you're in love, you have that whole "esp" thing going on. sometimes my boyfriend will say something so random, and my jaw will just drop because i was thinking the same thing. it's very strange. we're very connected and we're like the same person almost. we dress the same (not literally, just same style), we tell jokes the same way, we have the same vocabulary...for example, we both use the word "crucial" in the same context and "unacceptable"...lol it's so funny when i talk to his friends on the phone they're like, "oh my god, it's another little billy"....

A clone of me? I don't hope so....
It's already hard enough with just one me.....the idea of two me's would be too much....

tell me about it, its just fuckin wierd! maybe its something to do with being very similar people, and so have very similar trains of thought..?

although it gets worse than just saying something the other was thinking. the amount of times i've rung my fiancee and she's answered and told me she was just dialling my number.. not as explainable

Posted by Slylee on Oct-08-2004 15:58:

why wouldn't you guys want to meet someone who is just like you? i mean, when people look for partners and friends, the idea is to meet someone that you get along with, and someone who shares the same interests as you, has the same opinions as you...someone who is like you so you get along all the time and are always on the same page you know? i wish i could meet a girl who is just like me to hang out with all the time.

i dont believe in soul mates and i dont believe theres another person out there remotely as close as me. in order for that he/she would have to have the same similar biochemistry and be in the same situations and make thge same decisions at the same exact time i did. i think thats highly unprobable. and if there was another me id prolly kill him cause id be jealous he was taking my spot light

Posted by Vivid Boy on Oct-08-2004 16:03:

why would u want someone exactly like you? wouldnt that be sort of boring. the only 2 girls i ever cared abt have the same values but have different opinions. opinions i respect however. theres a difference between having a total opposite opinion and one that is different.

IT PUTS THE LOTION ON!!!!!

i dunno, cuz i like me? lol i believe in the whole opposites attract, but relationships like that usually turn out to be learning experiences...not forever. that's a statistic too, so there's lots of truth to that. people who end up together are usually the ones who have lots in common. the average relationship based on "opposites attract" only lasts about 2 years, i think that's what the statistic said.

statistics lie, and so do old sayings. It depends on the two people, where they are in their life and where they wanna go with their life, and if they are capable of knowing either of those....then sometimes ya just get lucky

i do have a clone.

well actually, i had surgery done to replace my face with another guy's face, and now we're living each other's lives. he has a life of millions of dollars and hoes all around. i have a life of boring sh!t, mindless 40 hour a day work, and school.

try to guess who is living the better life?

Posted by Fast Turtle on Oct-08-2004 21:29:

I think a clone of myself would hate me. (and vice versa)

Posted by biznology on Oct-08-2004 21:36:

no clone likely, but ive found im quite a bit like most of my good friends. and my broad has been labelled the female me by those good friends and possibly my sibling by others...which is disconcerting a bit but pretty cool in actuality|

Posted by Mebot on Oct-08-2004 21:43:

I've already found and met my doppelganger. His name was Jeb. I asked him "Do you have the strange sensation that you're looking in the mirror?"

he looked blankly at me and then I got in trouble cos I was supposed to be somewhere else at the time.

How would you ever know you had a clone? To be perfectly honest - I probably wouldn't recognize myself in public if I saw a person who looked exactly like me. I don't have much of a residual self-image.

As for someone acting almost exactly like me/being my soulmate? haven't found one yet, but I know what I need, and it's not more me. What I need is someone to complement me, somebody to complete who I am, not just be my mirror.
