Confused Can someone help me? (Very amateur track inside :conf:)

This is my first ever track in Reason (I used FL for a while but was even worse at that then i am in Reason).

I enjoy making music & enjoy even more listening to it nut i think i am better at listening

Could someone give me some pointers?
i have read lots of posts on this forum & most of the stuff baffles me when people are trying to explain stuff.

this track was based on a midi file which i have messed about a bit with.
I'm sure most of you will agree that its poop especially after downloading some other tunes from this forum

are there any good sites that have good explanations of what all the terminology means when talknig about producing?

anyway here is the track, its a remix (crap one) of Electrique Boutique - Revelation.

Here is the .rns file incase anyone wants to "supe up" the track & give it back

all criticisms welcome

For a first track it's not that bad, I know mine was a lot worse (although I'd never done any producing before I started on Reason). It's very simple, not much going on, but you've got to start somewhere .

I think the clap needs more reverb, I don't like the way it seems to suddenly fade out.

Mixing isn't that bad for a first-timer, although a bit more EQing wouldn't go amiss, like on that synth that comes in every so often on the intro, it's a bit bassy and lacks sparkle. EQ is a tricky thing though, just because I said you need to do more doesn't mean you should pile it on, you often need to be quite subtle about it.

Just keep trying, and if you've not already then read through the stickies and tutorials on the Production Studio forum....

thankyou for the comments.
They are very welcome.

I kinda liked the clap like that but i do see what you mean about it.
I was messing with a different synth (If u dload the .rns file you will see it in there) but i didnt thik it sounded right.
