Picotto vs Marco V

Please provide a detail analysis of the two premier Djs. In your discussion provide differences and similarities. Finally, give a fitting conclusion for the topic and the impact the respective Djs have had on the EDM world.

Silly bashers, this thread rox"!!

- Similarity: I like the hard'n'fast stuff produced by both.
- Difference: I think Mauro Picotto is better dj and best producer than Marco V, so Picotto, the "Lizard Man" does the difference with producing habilities...

Mauro Picotto songs had more impact in EDM, IMO:
pulsar, komodo, back to cali, new time, new place, and other likes, lizard...
And that trance energy 2001 set is very good, classical...

Marco V: the great escape, c:*/del mp3 (whatever), solarize, prides paranoia remix, and lots too... godd, rise, simulated, etc...

Marco V is great too but Picotto songs 0wn me so much...

Well... im almost sleeping here (I was formatting and installing all the stuff on ma pc some hours ago...) I'll comment more later...

Well Marco V is a terrific trance producer who has tried to make some techno with Tracks such as Certainly which have been poor where as Mauro has both made superb trance and techno records so I'd say Mauro is better all round. But not to say Marco V is a bad prodcer far from it.

As dj's today you can't really compare.

In 2000-2001 Picotto rocked everywhere he played but I never seen Marco V till this year at Gods@Telewest and was probably the best dj there.

marco v has never been a techno producer or even a trance producer for that matter

So your saying Marco V has never tried to make a techno record??

Didn't call him a tehno producer but sure has made an attempt to make some techno.

man .. i haven't done analysis paper since high school.. don't expect me to turn the clock, because i intend not to...

but here's some stats that you might want to know :

MARCO V
1 cd produced
3 cds mix various cds
14 lp singles released
and many many remixes i am not going to count(50+)

MAURO PICOTTO
2 cds produced
20+ singles
and many many remixes i am not going to count(50+)

they are both well-respected and well-known. i can't really differentiate between the two in terms of talent, since they have accomplished a lot in their careers. however i would say that marco v sounds more "housy" than picotto.
