Wink Bargain sample cd site's

hello everyone ..

i thought i was not allowed to post on here yesterday.
seem's like the addict's keep to their word,,, thank you

i was wondering if theres a site that can match e-bay for cheap sample cd's ?

i bought freq-wave and solid-circuits from some seller on e-bay after friend pointed me to them i was very happy with price and quality " seller seemed to be quiet a gent too.
i would like to buy more off e-bay but i hear some are download's and poor quality,
could someone recommend any other sample cd on e-bay.

thank you.

p.s
i dont want download sample's as they cant garantee royalitys
" you can point the finger with cds.

Behold, my arse.

sorry for the nag.

i guess this must be a closely guarded secret amoung you producers
or the fact all these sample cd producers are far to high priced to be commented on. <--- il agree on that.

even 20/30 for a disc is ok aslong as its recommended by someone whos bought the CD.

no way will i buy a zero-g disc again (55=i was gutted) "well for 10 maybe"

if its a big secret. slip me a PM il be greatfull i wont tell no one

thanks

I know this has been discussed a few times try a search for sample cd'se and I'm sure you'll come up with a few recommendations. Sorry, I don't remember any of the threads or cd's.

I have bought some stonking sample cds from russia online. It was a bit of a risky venture but it paid off as they were only $4 each for top titles such as zero-g's Nu House/NRG.

I aint gonna tell u what shop i got em from, but my tip is to use russian search engines. Are you a risktaker?? This is 100% true.

Good Luck.

... and you tought it could be legal to buy a zero-g cd for $4?

Posted by Derivative on Oct-13-2004 19:59:

yes it doesnt look above board. maybe if these russian sellers ambushed a zero g lorry with kalashnikovs and confiscated the whole cache of sample cds on their way to europe then sold them discreetly via the net.

if you want some zero g sample cds then you should deffo buy zero g altered states. its an intakt based instrument (rompler) but it contains absolutely tons of zero g samples cds and the whole thing costs 200 which is something like a tenth of the cost of buying all those cds separately.

you get

zero g ambient volumes 1
zero g ambient volumes 2
prosamples volume 36 'chillout'
cuckooland unhinged
cuckooland ghost in the machine
cuckooland asylum
prosamples volume 6 'experimental & fx'
cuckooland ambience
malice in wonderland
fields of motion
prosamples volume 9 'future beats 2'
junk percussion
creative essentials dream zone
ibiza chillout

DERIVATIVE, did you get them zero-g's yet,
are they pukka?
i wanna get them but not from the russian mafia lol

Posted by Derivative on Oct-29-2004 02:25:

oh yea i got it. its good! the intakt instrument is good - theres alot of features on it which are just plain cool. like the time machine button which lets you change the tempo of a sample without changing the pitch. the samples on the whole are pretty good (but thats zero g for ya) and get this, the 1 gb of extra samples on top of the zero g sample libraries you get, well its all trance samples. heyyyy! they are pretty good too but you'll still need to layer them to get really pro sounds. the instrument is quite suited to atmospheric loops and by layering sample loops you can get some WEIRD sounds out of it. its not as versatile as i thought it would be but them ive never used a rompler before and i hear with alot of romplers you have limited control of what you can do with em. ive not even touched the surface of it yet but its impressive from the outset. cpu load isnt too bad. its nothing like reaktor. thank god. the reaktor demo *crippled* my PC.

the bad side? theres no external sample browser and theres no way of extracting one of the samples and using em outside of altered states. for example, you cant go into windows explorer and take out the wavs you want then cut them up and screw around with them. you have to cut them up and screw around with them inside altered states. and browsing for samples is a pain in the arse cuz theres so many of them (3,600 i think). also i the GUI looks good but like alot of native instrument stuff i just find it a bit fiddly cuz it hides alot of itself in tabs and pop down menus and stuff. if you are used to NI guis like reaktor and kontakt youd be right at home though.

overall i think it was a good purchase cuz im severely lacking sample based stuff/loop based grooves/atmospherics in my songs so im digging it. although theres this voice in the back of my mind that keeps saying 'you could have got spectrasonics atmosphere for the same price!'

Posted by winters_here on Oct-30-2004 02:31:

nice one bruv,

you sound pretty pleased i think im gonna wiggle my toes in that pool
your sound card might have a recorder but if not have you heard of "total recorder" the demo version will even be long enough to capture the samples if you wanna fiddle with them more and use in other software record in "What You Hear" mode, just hit record and play sample, then crop in a sound editor, i know its seems like a weeks work doing all them samples but it might be worth it

i think im gonna go shopping in a min, me and sample CD's is like a woman shopping for shoes, just i dont use them once and chuck them in the cuboard,.. does my synth look fat in this hahaha

cheers m8 its good to get 1st hand recommendation rather than customer's testoment on home pages of site's
