Friend wants unprotected sex but I say no

Alright I'm telling my friend to wear a condom during sex to be on the safe side. He's 23 years old and dates a 27 year old woman. He said that his girlfriend never had a condom in her life nor taken birth control pills. She said that "as long as you can do it 5 days before and after her period its fine", and if he doesn't want to ejaculate inside he just withdraws. It's like an older woman more experienced telling him that she knows what she's doing, but I'm not sure about that.
I'm not sure what to tell him..

What are your inputs?

Oh ya the weird thing about her saying that is that she's native japanese so I dunno if that has to do with anything lol.. but I still say just wear it.

that 5 day thing is veeery untrustworthy... tbh i think he's just asking for her to get pregnant

Posted by Mebot on Oct-10-2004 12:17:

pregnancy is one thing... STDs are another....

she has never been with a partner who has worn a condom? hmmm...seems kindy shady right there....

Tell him to wear a condom if he doesnt want to contract anything.

ya it's kinda weird for an older woman to say that. I was reading an article that it says that japan has a different take on sex from that of westerners. That woman there "tend to not use a condom during sex". They only mentioned about them having the highest STD rate before condoms were sold, but they never mentioned about pregnancy.. then again japan is pretty much populated lololol.

ya he said she had only had one bf before and they did it when they had to . Either that guy is sterile or something is going on.. must be taking super pills or something lol.. but they were both japanese so don't know the difference from an american and a japanese. Heck am asian and I don't wouldn't take that chance..

why play with fire??? They're just asking for trouble..the calendar method is by far the most risky one, specially if she's not taking the pill...

and we're not even talking about STDs here, hope they've been dating for a while and at least discussed enough about it..

Thats sorta dumb IMO...

I suppose thats safe enough seeing as there is a wide gap between ovulation

that is not true...she could still get pregnant...the chances are a lot less, but its still possible

That's about the same situation you get when using a contraceptive.

Your friend is a bit of a fool, and his gf an even bigger one. They seem well suited to each other. You should tell them this.

edit: btw where's the pic of that signed cigarette box you promised me

That whole 5-day thing she's talking about just sounds like the kind of thing that her friend told her when she was young and she believed them, either that or she just wants a baby (and all that entails, like money). And the withdrawl method is hardly effective, I hope that most people know that... If your friend really wants to hit it, he should use protection and caution. Might as well make it as safe as possible, that woman's obviously full of shit, whether she realises it or not I don't know.

Using a condom is like wearing a raincoat in shower.

Posted by DJ Lac on Oct-10-2004 18:56:

lmao.. ya am sure am going to give alternative routes to him.. just found out from my friend that ya she is pure japanese so she's cultured in not really using a condom when having sex with their partner lol.. He said he's just going to tell her he's not going to do it lol..

If stds ran a speedier course, it would sure speed up the process of natural selection...

not necessarily... not all STDs kill you. and plenty of them are curable.

Posted by Transporter on Oct-11-2004 01:06:

if he does that then the only way she won't get pregnant is if she swallows the fastest swimmer .. else he should use a garbage bag for a condom.. sounds like she doesn't really care.. which could mean many bad things.. . hmmm

Having sex without using birth control or STD preventive measures if like jumping over sticks. Most of the time you make it, but every now and again you slip and get one right up the ass.

You don't need to have extraordinary life experience to understand the problems associated with pregnancy or disease.

But just quickly, why would someone be in relationship and only ave sex during a 10 day period per month? That seems a little unrealistic.

Chances are that if they have been having sex for sometime, and they are both faithful that catching an STD is low, but its probably worth getting to a doctor and getting checked, and getting a pill prescription and then thye can have sex 26 days a month instead of 10.

There's nothing wrong with unprotected sex, but at least have her use birth control. Unless you want to have a kid, that is.

Posted by AlphaStarred on Oct-11-2004 02:30:

nothing wrong save for the possibility of her having an std...birth controls are never a hassle
