Hiring CDJ's

Hey guys,

I want to have a play with some CDJ's on the cup weekend so I am looking for places in Melbourne to hire a pair of CDJ's and a mixer from. Do you know anywhere? They don't have to be CDJ's, any brand will do.

I have contact Billy Hydes music, is there anywhere else and do you know of approx rates I should expect to pay?

I am basically a complete newbie and I have no vinyl so to find out what its all about I want to go nuts for a few days on these.

Or does anyone want to lend a newbie some vinyl and their decks

Thanks!

well a few record shops sell the equipment so maybe go in and see if you can hire it or have a go there. theres also a place near where i live in oakleigh that might do it but i cant remember what its called and where exactly it is i think its called dj city and near the intersection of centre rd and warrigul rd.

I live out near Ringwood in the Eastern Suburbs.

From a beginners perspective are all CDJ's the same from a basic beat mixing sense? I was sent a link to Warehouse Sound in Fitzroy which offer Denon dual CDJ's for about $90 a day. http://www.warehousesound.com

Try DJ Village in Doncaster - I know that they hire out decks but not sure about CDJs

Better off getting the DN1800's (only $50) as apposed to the 9000s($90). With that being said, you still need a mixer, which looks like another $40.

i wouldnt even bother with denons unless u want to dj at ure grandmas 80th.

^^ Is there a reason for that, or is it just that the Denon's only except cd's that contain grandma's music.

Yeh.. do they have like a "grey hair" button which modifies the EQ curve of the output to be friendlier to the hearing impaired or something?..
