Methamphetamine Poem (pretty good too)

I destroy homes, I tear families apart. I take children and that�s just a start.
I�m more valued than diamonds, more precious than gold.
The sorrow I bring is a sight to behold.
If you need me, remember, I am easily found.
I live all around you, in school and in town.
I live with the rich, I live with the poor.
I live right down the street, maybe even next door.
I�m made in a lab, but not like you�d think.
I can be made in your kitchen sink.
Or in a child�s closet, and even out in the woods.
If this scares you to death, it certainly should.

I have many names, but there�s one you�ll know best.
I�m sure that you heard of me, my name is Crystal Meth.

My powers are awesome. Try me. You�ll see.
But if you do, you may never break free.
Just try me once, I may let you go.
But if you try me twice I�ll own your soul.
When I possess you, you�ll still and you�ll lie.
You�ll do what you have to do, just to get high.
The crimes that you�ll commit for my narcotic charms,
Will be worth the pleasure you�ll feel in my arms.

I don't think it's necessarily bad.

Being addicted is a problem, but not everyone who has used it has gotten addicted. If you're gonna use it, you need to be careful with it.

If you tend to have problems with addictions or an addictive personality, you probably shouldn't use it. Also, it's seems a lot worse for you shot/smoked/snorted than ingested.

Im stupid. What is crystal meth anyways? They keep saying we have a real crystal meth problem here in the lower mainland, but they never seem to mention what it is. its not just methamphetamines is it? Isnt methamphetamine plain speed? I would assume crystal meth is a refined version or something?

Crystal meth is methamphetamine, sometimes also called speed or ice or glass or jib or other names in some places.

It usually comes in the form of small, clearish crystals. It can be smoked, ingested, snorted, and injected.

It's highly addictive and also fairly neurotoxic, and very easily manufactured in clandestine labs (though most of it comes from Mexico/overseas).

It looks like:

meh, dun like speed, was addicted to it for like 6 months back in 2000, dont touch the stuff any more, note for me.

I'll stick to my blotto n tablets

Good poem, an accurate portrayal of addiction for those who are weak minded.. (not commenting on the author, but those who are addicted)

I've done meth dozens of times. Its one of the most fun drugs out there. However, as someone said, its not for those who are weak minded or who have an addictive personality. But then again, what drugs are?

do you live in Vancouver also? just go in one of the alleys in east Downtown. Fuckin junkies and iceheads everywere. fun fun fun

it seems to be a big problem in alot of parts in Vancouver, I live near Cambie, and its really nice down there, but i have had junkies in my alley tons. its a problem everywere, obviously not Everywere...but its a big issue here. A buddy of mine got kicked outta school because of doing meth at school. and ive seen it fucked some kids up before. not a good drug at all. ive also known chemists and people who fund the creation of meth, and even though its a drug, they have Complete disregard for the users of the drug. I know someone who pissed in a batch. Its just a disgusting drug. ive only known people to be violent and anxious while on it. nasty shit imo

The poem is true.

Personally i don't think meth is all that addictive though, i've tried it 3-4 times.

On the first try i had massive sessions smoking it thru a crack pipe busting an all-nighter. The hangover got me soo depressed, but one of my friend who also tried it with me wasnt feeling so bad the next day as i was and the depression lasted for about 3 days.

However my next session didnt follow with such a bad hangovers.

why would they put meth in ecstacy in the first place? Meth is more expensive than MDMA.

Actually, it's much cheaper than MDMA because the synthesis is a lot shorter and simpler and ingredients cheaper and easier to obtain.

its actually gotten pretty bad in my area. Apparantly the dealers are going out of their way to give it away. Theres even been an incident with an elementary school...

right you are, also, some ppl even just cut pills with ephedrine, a perfectly legal, slightly less potent, relative of meth.

you know those little slimming drops you put in your tea or whatever to curb your appetite? pretty much liquied ephedrine, all you need to do is dry it in an oven and you get all these little crystal that are like a poor man's speed. The shit's even often the main ingredient in decongestant tablets for colds & flu.

Yeah, that line is total cheeze. I've probably done it 100+ times and I can take it or leave it. Shit, I have not done it for a couple years now.

I dont think its addictive, but like coke, if you have it you find reasons to do the shit you have.
