Halloween gigs!
Anyone spin at a Halloween party before? I'm looking for halloween themed songs to get for a mainstream party. So far I'm thinking of..
Michael Jackson - thriller
Rockwell - Somebody's watching me
Ray Parker - Ghostbusters
Any more suggestions?
Also for a costume I think I'm going to be an 80's hip hop star. I'm going to get a track suit, dollar sign bling, hat, and a ghetto boom box.
i think this thread comes up ever year. hehe.. try the horrorist - one night in nyc. it has a creepy xylophone in it, great for halloween.
or look for some remixes of the theme from the movie halloween, theyre badass
razzi
Try 'Are you afraid of the boogie monster' by Arman Van Helden
I have a sweet mashup of that and Dust planet by Leftfield.
Cheers

If you want to sneak some trance in, try Digital Blonde: 'Gothica'. Probably won't work for a very mainstream party but an essential for all trance events over the Halloween period.
Ive got Digital Blonde - Gothica and Mark Norman - Phantom Manor lined up for my Halloween set.
Not particularly original but who cares eh?

Schiller did 'Das Glockenspiel'.
Also last year Fatboy Slim did a brilliant Halloween essential mix, he started off with a Boris Karloff (the original dracula i think) sample, used some effects and then brought in the beat from his first track. It was a great start, very spooky ;-)
Boris Karloff - 'Introduction' (Decca) from Essential Mix tracklisting
Borris Karloff is the original Frankenstien.
Bella Lugosi was the original Dracula if you don't count Nosferateu.

Well, for haunting sounds in songs you could use:
Muse - Newborn (Perfecto Remix)
Future Sound of London - Papua New Guinea
Although I understand if it is a mainstream party then maybe not applicable.
halloween songs
I opened a set last year with the first few bars from phantom of the opera. Its a super strong synth/organ and is even creepier with the bass pumped up.
MJ - Thriller (DJ Isaac Remix) --> This track really bangs!!!
maddox & kaye - tales from the crypt
Wear a gorilla costume
