Vinyl pressing machine
Hi everyone!
I`m looking for a vinyl pressing machine.
I searched for the "toolex alpha" from sweden but
it will not produced anymore.
Can somebody tell me where i can get it from or
who`s trading them?
Otherwise i`ll also take a other machine.
Bandylegs
could someone please post a picture of a Vinyl pressing machine as well?
i see one in the DJ mag "it must be few years ago now"
it was a turntable with some funky 2 arm 1 looked like a robot thingy.
it would cut vinyl out of blank's but cutter could only cut 50 records a+b side and replacement was like 250 , the blanks was expencive too, 2000 near on the whole turntable,,,,
but after seeing moulting vinyl spun n pressed i think a proper equiptment is better for high useage. i bet the sound quality last a few more 100s plays on proper method.
il see if i can find the old mag so i can post name of turntable cutter,, probley be lot cheaper now,,

well.. here is what i found..

picture has been taken from http://www.musicolrecording.com
a vinyl presser
muhahaha
i've seen another presser long time ago at tv.. and it doesnt look similar to this one..
so.. maybe there is another technique for pressing or cutting..
post any picture you have
You need a master cut... Then you need that pressed into vinyl all that shit has to cost a shitload.........
it does indeed cost a shedload. and theres maintenance costs on all that stuff. basically its not worth getting your own vinyl pressing machine unless you plan on churning out hundreds of copies and expect a good number of them to sell.
its not presser but http://www.vestax.com/products/vrx2000.htm
That`s what I need it for!
So please don`t post your pictures (i know how it looks like!)
and tell me where i can get one!
Thx!
vestax makes one then theres another that you just place ontop of a technics turntable and it cuts the vinyl. both are fairly expensive and hard to buy. search google would be your best bet ive had friends that ahve found places that sell them but i personally have never been able to find anyplace that currently sells them or will even talk to you about it.
Sorry, the vastex is not what i need.
I need to press at least 1000 pcs. Such a machine how is shown at the picture above!
Well, I had a deal with singulus tec wich trades production lines for optical media. They otherwise work together with Alpha Sweden wich produced the Toolex Alpha. But not anymore.... That`s the problem..
Some of you are getting cutters confused with pressers
i have no clue on where to locate either but if you can find a place that offers them please tell me ive been looking for some time now
Home vinyl cutters seem really expensive and pointless to me, who's gonna spend that much money on a vinyl cutter when you could get a CDJ player and CD burner for a fraction of the price...
Anyway I don't live anywhere near you so I've got no idea where you could get it done, but here there's usually a few ad's at the back of DJ mags?
i found it and done a serch for piccy....
vestax vrx-200 ( i knew i wasnt that mad )
all you need is some double sidded sticky tape a egg box and a yogart container " picture is of 1 i made earlier"
kingston mix machine's
vinylium dubplate cutter 4300
IF U GOT 4300 TO SPEND LEND ME 10
MY CAT HAS FLU AND IT NEED A JAB
LOL
have fun
I don`t need a cutter!
Well, a CD pressing machine costs around 300 000.
I think for vinyl its around 10 000.
If i got the machine ill spend you the
10 for your cat ! ;-)
unless your going to be pressing thousands of of records I suggest just going to a place that does it..its a lot cheaper the more you get. Plus you will most likely get better quality records.
Most pressers are obsolete no longer manufactured
Best resource is to try and gather info from vinylium and such I know there's a number of places you can get this kind of equipment used as that is your only bet.
And yes this is extremely cost prohibitive.
Ebay

doesn't pressing vinyl give off toxic fumes??
u better have a special room to do it in if u don't want to suffocate before u reap the benefits..
i read a story on pressing vinyl once (in the tv guide even i think)
from what i got from it those machines are indeed not made anymore (so all used today are farely old) and most ppl who knew how to use the machines have died now. seems to be a very very specialized job which takes decades to fully master.
it seems so...
thx
