Thumbs up Marc Van Linden - Sunrise

Great groovin trance tune. Excellent subtle progression into a beautiful melody. Mint.

Thank you Marc Van Linden !!!!!

I beleive I heard Armin or PVD play AM 2 PM in a set last week. Not a fan of this tune becuase it sounds to much like Ron Van Buuken - Timeless or Endless.

However, I really really like the flip of the vinyl which has Sunrise. Its melodic but it doesnt get cheesy on you. The bassline and progression of the track is perfect imo.

Sample can be heard on www.chemicalrecords.co.uk

Really like Marc Van Linden, one of my favorite producers ATM.. period

Posted by Dave Piazza on Oct-13-2004 05:55:

what I like about the song is that it gets trancy but is doesnt get cheesy. there is no massive snareroll build up or break down. I like the progression of the track.

the track grooves with something that sounds kinda PVd'ish (i.e kinda Nu Nrg sounding riffs) but than drops a awesome melody in there to suprise you but than progess out of the melody back into the groove. The track is a balance bewteen europhic and groovin hard trance.

Excellent.

Yeah, pvd has taken a nice interest in him lol :P. His rmx of For an Angel..

I was gonna say the same. Funny how someone who has spent about 5 years making cheesy hard trance bollocks suddenly starts making great tunes like his remix of Cosmic String.

AM 2 PM is out now on Go For It, with this on the flip.

I didn't hear this tune yet but i hate mvl because he played many times (and play) in the most cheesy polish club `ekwador`, where people dance with white gloves and pipes. And the most popular music there is stupid house.. oh no..., marc van linden sux !!

If this is true than I would pay anything to see a bunch of polish people dancing around in white gloves and pipes.

Posted by Adik3 on Oct-14-2004 13:54:

[sorx for my bad english]
Ok, i will search something. I see when ppl dance with white gloves and pipes at all partys. Youngers listen to stupid house where dj nonstop scream `jaaazdaaa` (some like `riiiiideeee` or `leeeet's gooooo!!!!`) and all fuckin druggys `dance`. It's very popular in our country. But we - polish TranceAddicts - are fighting with them .
Marc van Linden loves partys like that. And i hate him.

In Poland MvL = Dj Sammy = Dj Shog = Ian van Dahl = FUCKIN CHEESE !!

Posted by DNA_pl on Oct-14-2004 13:59:

Arrow

yep, ekwador disco is pretty hmm weird place

"jaa, jaaaazdaaaa"

OMG thats so funny

I thought you were joking when you said ppl dance w/ white gloves

You polish need to stop this !!

BTW the Sunrise isnt IMO something these polish fools would listen too ( well I hope not ) I never heard any of his other shit but I was told he did make some other cheesy stuff. However, Sunrise doenst sound cheesy to me or something polish people dancing with white glooves would like

Posted by Adik3 on Oct-14-2004 14:52:

Hmm... but a few years he produced only cheese. He entertained this people with his (and not only) foolish tracks. Yes, he did this for $. Maybe he has talent and now he wish to be a good trance producer. But I can't forgive him, what he did for my country. He and his mates like Dj Kris, Dj Hazel (the most popular polish dj's) argghhhh, give me a knife !!

Posted by viscid on Oct-14-2004 15:02:

Unfortunately it's true. Mowst of the polish clubs invite cheese dj's to play for people in gloves, pipes and other shit like whistles and other stupid atributes. It's sad reality. But i think it's our mentality, we like only easy cheese melodies, and stupid basses. Sad but true :/. Polish clubs really sucks. There owfcourse exceptions but generally it sucks

Posted by Dave Piazza on Oct-14-2004 15:08:

I didnr know poland was cheese captial of the world. But than again there was a DJ that came from Poland and became quite popular here in Chicago in the mid to late 90's. His name was DJ Markski. He played alot of euro cheese. Does his name sound fimilar to you ??

Posted by Adik3 on Oct-14-2004 15:15:

For Example support for Tiesto was... Aquagen and Starsplash but AFAIK when Tiesto was only few people had white gloves .

Yes, we have also clubs where dj's play `ambitious` electronic: progressive house, drumm'n'bass but i don't know any club where play `pure` trance :/. They prefere eurodance or stupid house :\.

Posted by viscid on Oct-14-2004 16:30:

Beyond cheese dj's and producers we have couple of good anounced producers like: Dj Sonar from Enmass, Underwater, Paul VanGee. Dj's like Angelo Mike. Club culture is gerowing in poland but unfortunately it's becoming from cheese shit :|. Maybe it will be change in time but i think it wouldn't be easy.

Dave: Poland it's not world capital of cheese. We just don't grow enought to trance (not everybody obviously)

Ps: Sorry 4 my english guys :/
