Dallas record/dj stores?

hey all, i was just looking through the texas section of the forum and i see that no one has posted a listing of stores in the DFW metroplex that carry records and other DJ related gear stuffs

real trance is still fairly unknown to our area and when people around here think DJ alot first think rap and hip hop and ive found that other than your local guitar center, there isnt anywhere else to buy gear so... id like to start a list to help us DFW TAs find where to go to satisfy our need for good dance music and whatnot

as far as gear goes, (excluding the internet) places to buy are:

-Guitar Center's DJ & Lighting section

a DJ needs to have tunes to play out and the known local record stores are:

-Bills at Spring Valley & Coit
-Tower at Oaklawn & Lemmon Ave

any others lemme know

Illmatic Records carries no trance at all! R Type is more around house and prog house but they do carry some trance. ATPT, Core, and BPM are the best stores for trance. I personally like BPM a lot, the store just has more of that record store atmosphere. Maybe because it's in Deep Ellum. Core has a kick ass staff, they really help you out in anyway you need them! ATPT has so many records in that place it's absolutely nuts. The only thing I don't like about that store is they don't put the price on their records. Back in the day you would just buy a record not knowning how much it would be. I think now they started a new policy of 9.99 import 6.99 domestics after their mega-sale. I could possibly be wrong so I would double check before you make the LONG drive out there.

i knew there had to be more than just bills and tower... i think ive driven past BPM in deep ellum, ill have to give it a look this weekend
