October 31st DFUSE at Apple Bar in Austin
I got an e-mail from the DFUSE website last night. I was wondering what Austin would have to offer. Should be a great night.
mmmmm... he's yummy!
I didn't see it listed yet on his website (http://www.djdfuse.com/tourdates.htm)
Apple bar is SMALL--the turntables are crammed in an odd location, off the walkway between the front & back rooms. Maybe they'll move them.
I don't remember the bar as really having a dance floor, either.

I have never been to apple bar either..so I don't know what to expect. I remember when he first started at SKY he would be up in the cirrus room...then he moved to SKY and those turntables were set up on a bar that wasn't being used. So I am sure DFUSE will be able to make do.

There will also be a contest for best costume. First place gets 100 dollars and some passes to DFUSE's Birthday Bash at Sky in NOV. Second place gets some CD's. Should be a great night.
I talked to the bartender when I was at Apple Bar before the Ferry show on Wednesday. He didn't card me---said he "recognized me". That's more flattering than him saying I was too old to be carded 
The bars about as small as I remembered. The bartender said for the show they'd take out all the tables & stools to clear space. There's no dance floor though, the floor is hard concrete.
I'm debating going. $3 is a nice price, but I will see D:Fuse on Friday opening for Oakie in SA.
House Music All night Long
It was all house, all the time tonight. Like if your really cool friend had a party, & you were invited. D:Fuse was mingling with the crowd, dancing, as were all the DJs/hipsters.
Highlights:
Billie Jean instrumentals, as D:Fuse stepped up to the tables. F-ing love this song.
If anyone born after 1980 asks "who sings Billie Jean?" I will 
stomp on you!!!
D:Fuse dressed up like DJ Burat from the Ali G show.
A guy dressed up like D:Fuse--cowboy hat & headphones.
Talking to D:Fuse about the Friday show at Barrio.
No cover cause the doormen know me.
Hearing "People...get ready...ready to fly."
The women dressed up like PussyCat Dolls---DAMN!!!
Definitely a cool spot to be at in Austin tonight. Too bad I had to leave at 1:15 AM cause I have to work tommorrow.
& I am too keyed up from dancing to go to sleep right now.
As usual, I was the white dancing fool. It's my role!
