How long haven't u washed your computer screen?

1 year and 8 months! a few days before i went to a LAN
top that!

Posted by Arbiter on Oct-15-2004 16:36:

I washed it today. People who don't keep their computer screens clean are probably dirty in general.

Posted by Boomer187 on Oct-15-2004 16:41:

73 days.

Posted by goonerjack on Oct-15-2004 16:44:

never washed it, and bought it about 4 years ago... it's still goin good!

Posted by itsTrueSonic on Oct-15-2004 16:50:

don't wash it, because i usually either spit at it when i am upset, or i let the fan or ac vent blow in front of the monitor.

i treat my monitor well.

unless if i have a lcd flat screen. then that would be different. i would treat it like my baby and clean it everyday and hug it and kiss it and give it tender loving.

about monthly i clean mine.

^^^

can't stand looking at a monitor when it's dirty (I find it distracting), especially then one I have at home (Sony G420s), it looks really nasty when there's a dark image on the screen

I dont know exactly!
But I do know that I clean it everytime I have some "dirty" friends over, who take their nasty fingers all over it.. just because they know Im highly "strict" when it comes to computer screens

eh...i got an older ViewSonic ViewPanel LCD and i dont kiss it or clean it... well when its obvious it needs cleaning, but i have to be very careful cos the screen gets all smudgy, you know how those OLD LCD's are.

Anyone have any tips on getting cum off an LCD screen?

Posted by lcid on Oct-15-2004 18:59:

i think if mine gets dusty i just sorta wipe it in one fell swoop with my sleeve.

i can't remember ever gettin spit or cum or any other gooey-liquidy substance on my screen, hence never needing to "wash" it.

Posted by Turbonium on Oct-15-2004 19:02:

never, since this monitor has too much character with the history of smudges and smears, along with all the various random stickers and post it notes that are on it (it came with a ghetto TCO 1992 stamp on it, with a Designed for Windows 95 sticker - I kept the tradition by adding more crap to it).

Posted by DjSimonB on Oct-15-2004 19:39:

I think my mum cleans it

Posted by d0uble h3lix on Oct-15-2004 21:57:

i just use lense cleaner on it once every week or so, got a 19" NEC Flat CRT

good question

Posted by neovalkyr on Oct-16-2004 06:05:

never... what are you guys doing that it gets that dirty.

Posted by starglider on Oct-16-2004 16:13:

I give it the occasional dusting, but I never touch it or get anything on it, so it doesn't really get dirty.

I did that when I got my flatscreen. After the first loving session, it needed more cleaning than before I started...

Posted by Spyder on Oct-17-2004 02:38:

i usualy wash it once a week if not twice... it bothers me if i see dust on it....
