Just some questions about producing..
Just had some basic questions.
First: When you use lets say a kick sample do you run it through a wave editor like Cool Edit before you use it or only when necessary, is this a common practice for producers?
Second: Compressors are supposed to "louden" the track and give energy to it. But most of the time all that ends up happening is the output starts going into redzone and everything starts distorting which in the end forces me to use soft clippers and compressors to make the sound softer
And finally, im thinking of using Cubase, is there much of a need to go from FL Studio to a program like Cubase? I used a demo once but i dont know if its worth it. I mean in terms of variety, sound output, etc.
Thanks.

Don't compress the whole track and it won't ![]() And finally, FL studio seems to be perfectly fine for pro-productions. According to himself, all Octagen/Re:Locate productions and remixes are FL Studio only, and I think the same applies to Ozgur Can. |
