Thumbs up Tiesto in NYC, A Special Message

Hello to all you NYC peeps...

I'm from Buffalo, and saw Tiesto this past weekend in Toronto. Aside from it being the best trance set I have heard in my 3 years of partying (also my 3rd time seeing Tiesto) what made the night even more special was what happened a few hours after he was done. I wanted to leave after Tiesto was done sine I was soooooo tired from dancing 4 hours straight without even a break to go get water (thanks to my friends that brought it to me). My friends insisted on staying...so we moved from the KoolHaus (venue that Tiesto played in) to the Guvernment's main room. Low and behold Tiesto was just chilling at the bar. I approached him nervously (this guy is an idol to me) I told him how much of an inspiration he was to me, and with the trance I spin. He was humbled. I told him that I was from NY...and he just assumed I was from NYC. He said that he will be there at the end of October...and that we need to make NYC smile I was so blown away by how amazing that comment was...I told him that he would be the perfect man to do that...and he was greatful. Such a class act, a man that deserves every bit of fame he has.

I think it would be awesome if someone from TA gave him a note, or held up a sign, saying thanks for making us smile...because believe me, you will. His set in Toronto was incredible. You all deserve to feel as free as I did on Saturday night...respect to you all.

Peace,
Steve

Thats very touching. We are all very excited that he's coming to town again especially now. He made his first debut in March at Limelight. I really hope for his sake he plays new stuff, if not, the aftermath will be brutal.

Viceroy... I know what you mean about Tiesto being a "real" human being. I saw him @Limelight, then at a shit club in DC in April, but we got in free and got VIP's, so it was worth it. His sets at both venues were similiar, but the energy he created was unbelievable. Not to mention the fact that we were waiting thru the 1st DJ, and spotted Tiesto hanging out upstairs, and we talked with him for about an half hour, since no one else knew who he was there. We even bought him a drink while he waited to go on. He was very down to earth, along with his partner. He's truely in his own class... and he understands the people who enjoy the same genre of trance that he plays. I was very impressed with his questions about the U.S., and his willingness to give the whole country what they've been missing for the longest time. Now it's hard for me to defend his track selection... but after meeting him, I have more respect than ever for him. His head hasn't blown up, even though he is one of the most popular DJ's of the last few years. I think most people will enjoy themselves, just knowing that Tijs is a real person like them, and he doesn't make you feel invisible when he spins. There is always a smile on his face... and reacts to the crowd's approval. NYC definitely needs Tiesto during these times. Respect.

Once it's confirmed, I'll book my flight. Until then, I take it with a grain of salt.

WoW Viceroy and Tranzlucent , these two posts brought tears to my eyes just thinking about when i met the Master. he really is an amazing human being in every way possible musicly and personally. hes allways smilling and your right he doesnt have his heard up his arse like some other not so famous djs.

Yes, it's refreshing in this day & age to know that some of the DJ's are exactly like us. When we were talking about music, I named quite a few tracks he never heard, and he gave me his card, and asked me to send him a CD. My lazy ass never did.... but maybe I'll hook him up with one next Saturday. Also, ticketmaster is now selling Tiesto tickets. Enjoy...
