Any good percussion links for Reason

Just looking for any hints or tips in Reason on how to make your snare ,bd rolls, to sound professional in Reason

not just your drum roll but the breaks ,the rise the build up and a full drum roll with all the trimmings the hats, cymbals, snare bass drums ,toms etc.

cause everytime i make one it never sounds like in the club or any track.

its cool to sound unique but id just like my rolls to sound like standard or typical i guess and the rest of the track will sound unique.

so if anyone has a good link for me to check out it would be helpful

thanks

I don't think there's any site that explains how you make good percussion-sounds and patterns.

My adwice to you is to listen to other songs that you like the percussion-pattern in, and then try to "copy" these. If you don't know how to make good patterns.

Just start with a few sounds, a kick, a hihat and a clap. Then add a few more sounds. Maybe pan the hihat and the clap (one to the left and the other to the right). Maybe add one more hihat. The choice is yours.

You said your percussion-sounds didn't sound like pro-sounds. Download some refills to Reason that contains good percussion-sounds.

Dont forget to layer your percussion. Use everything, hi-hats (closed and open), cowbells, toms, shakers, rides, tambourines. You're free to do what you like!

When it comes to reason, there's tons of possibilities of what you can do to your percussion.

For instance, you can completely change the sound of a basic short 909 kick by running it through one of the many filter and sound modules that reason has. Just mess around and try something out until you get what you like.
