Anybody like post-rock? Sigur Ros, etc.

I suppose this isn't strictly electronic, but post-rock is lot closer to EDM than to traditional rock, IMO.

Anyway, it was Sigur Ros who got me into this sound, and since then I've discovered other bands like:

Godspeed You Black Emperor
A Silver Mt. Zion
Explosions In The Sky
Mogwai

Anybody into this kinda stuff? Really beautiful music, and something a little different. Mostly instrumental, ambient-influenced rock with lots of unique instruments.

Not sure if this applies, but I think Linkin Park are great for this, their music has so much texture and volume, that seperate it from usual rock and into more electronic music, especially with all the remixes.

Er actually it doesn't apply.

Post-rock doesn't just mean "not your usual rock" it's an established genre. But oh well.

i'm into it. i'm into a lot of sounds, really; especially anything that combines rock and electronic elements. from trip-hop to industrual rock, going through electro-jazz and electro-pop.

UNKLE, Chib, St. Germain Cafe, Massive Attack, FC Kahuna, Zero 7, Manitoba, Skunk Anansie, VNV Nation, Lo-Fidelity Allstars. beautiful stuff.
