24 Hour Party People
Just finished watching it on some movie channel. Takes place in Manchester, England and talks about the development of the underground music scene through the eyes of a journalist. It developed into a rave scene and the whole movie was quite interesting. Anyone seen it before?
id move it to the chill out room, you'll get alot more responses there
Uhmm dude, that movie is a true story, and the characters/clubs are the real thing.....the Hacienda back in the day was the UK's legendary nightclub, and was considered the most popular club in the world...when they tore it down, they gave away pieces of the rubble to special VIP's.
i really enjoyed watching this film. the story about joy division and the manchester scene is really something interesting. i recommand this film to everyone who have the slightest interest in music.
Agreed. Brilliant film. The Happy Mondays scenes towards the end are f**king hilarious. Recommended.

Yeah the thread should be in chillout but im to lazy to move it. If the movie had nothing to do with music i would have tossed it in the chillroom for sure. Remiks: I was pretty sure it was a true story but thanks for clearing it up. Even though the music at the start of the film was brutal it evolved and became tolerable to listen too. Its neat how it all evolved into todays scene. Great acting and yes the mondays were hilarous.
