Review: M.I.K.E. at GLOW

The ride down blew. Torrential downpours most of the way. We met up with Karma and Robin at Crabby Dicks in baltimore for crabs.
Sky and karma's first time eating whole crabs and they were pretty traumatized, lol. But me and sky devoured a dozen by ourselves and still had room for dessert 
WHICH we danced off, thanks to MIKE.
Pete opened up with a great set as always. I'm happy i got my own copy of your new cd pete b/c i dont think janette wants to part with hers long enough for me to copy it! I was enjoying your set so much that i kind of wished you would have spun longer. MIKE OWNED . completely and totally. i didnt recognize a lot of his tracks, but they were amazing. If anyone knows the name of the last song that he played - i'd really like to know!
I was sooooooo disappointed in the crowd. Not that many people came out to see MIKE. But what was REALLY disappointing was that a lot of the regular glowers were not there. I hope you all had good excuses, and weren't just tired from Picotto the night before!: :angry: Because if that was the case, we're going to smack you around next time we see you!
However, we had a blast as usual partying it up with our friends. Brought danny k to the club - first time at FUR, and he had a good time. Got up in the dj booth at the end to watch MIKE for a little, which i was hoping. Think i drank a few too many shots b/c i wasnt feeling too great at the end but it didnt stop me from dancing. The ride home was an absolute BITCH - to anyone i texted at 5am while i was trying to stay awake - i apologize!
now for a few shoutouts. this shouldnt take too long:
danny k - hope you had fun and maybe you'll want to come out with us more often! (*cough*christopherlawrence*cough* :kiss:
sky - how was your 5-hour nap in the car bitch? haha the pleather outfits were definitely a lot of fun. when you passed out on the couch upstairs we thought you were going to "pull a janette" but i'm proud of you! you walked out of the club on your own! :grin:
erin - good seeing you sweetie! and you and liz got to meet the fabulous MIKE so i know you must be happy!!
sergio - just when i thought i've seen you at the epitamy of drunkenness, last night totally blew that out of the water. Do you remember having 4 of your friends hold you up most of the night while you tried futilely to dance? lol and every time they'd start to drag you out, you'd start pumping your first and dancing and you'd be fine for about 3 seconds and then sort of fall over again... it was fucking hilarious. didnt get to say goodbye, so i hope you got home safe.
jonathan and amanda - you crazy kids i hope you make it out on thanksgiving!

Eddie - it was nice meeting you 
i tried to introduce you to as many people as possible its just that not a lot of people from the glowboard came out last night. Come back next week and i'll do better! hope you had fun

it was also good seeing johnny trust, ramses, and lambros partying it up!

dont think i'm missing anyone but if i am i'm sorry! i think i'm going back to bed.

what an amazing night! i had the most fun ever. my only complaint about FUR is the pretentious crowd upstairs! but. once we walked downstairs, i felt right back at home and the vibe was still there- if not better. i loved the dj booth, it was elevated but you could def still see the dj and connect with him.
got to meet M.I.K.E. who even recognized me from the Glow boards! he was so warm and sweet, and threw down a sick set! pete never disappoints, i swear he has the exact same taste in music as i do! haha. but it was so wonderful seeing all the people i have become so close to over the years- and those i'm just getting to know. huggies to: liz, dave, dan, amanda + jon, amy, janette, sergio, mario, pudding, jim, anis (the guy who got us up in the booth! 
) and everyone else i had a blast with. for those who you didn't go- you certainly missed out!
EDIT: STRANGE WORLD (ENCORE) WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOT!

Yep I admit it Picotto was so crazy the night before. It was off the chain.
There is something to be said about putting on a pair of old tennis shoes and t-shirt for an all night techno party.
But I'm sure MIKE was good too.

i had lots of fun on my first night out to fur. mike was what i expected from him: pure, hard, unadulterated trance. and he really is a genuinely nice guy. very talkative and friendly. erin i know you were flipping when he said he recognized you.
the dancefloor i was very disappointed in, its not that much bigger than insomnia at all, if it is bigger. the lighting is exceptional though. i give it a A+, i couldnt get over it. booth is very nice too, just a little too elevated. overall, i had a great time. those long islands will make you do that though.
good time by mike! came down and talked to everyone afterwards. great to see everybody as usual. hey glitter tell danny k thanks for the cds. they were mixed great. hey das mario pm me if you want my new mix cd we were talking about. some of the highlights of the cd are in my signature below. hope to see everybody for christopher lawrence!
GIVE TRANCE A CHANCE....
Wow...what a great night! I wasn't sure if I was going to hit Glow, after Mauro Picotto's killer set @ Nation! Then again...I would've hated missing out on M.I.K.E.'s first appearance in D.C. So...staying home on Saturday night was not an option!
When I finally made it to FUR, the main room was open and there was no reason to hang out upstairs. While looking for some familiar faces downstairs, nothing prepared me for Sky's and Glitter's outfits! The Glowgirls gone Goth!!!!! Awesome! Anyhow...later on I caught up with Robin, Erin, Liz, Adam, and a few others I'd wanted to see.
As for the music...
Pete Moutso's set was amazing! I just about died when Pete dropped Signum - The Timelord! That track always brings back great memories of Miami...I love it! Finally M.I.K.E. took the decks...and I was not disappointed! The best part of the set was in the last hour or so. I just couldn't bring myself to leave! Nothing but hard bangin' goodness! I felt anything but tired! I went insane when M.I.K.E. dropped Mr. Sam feat. Mojado - Naranja !!!! The best surprise was hearing M.I.K.E. drop Strange World...one of my all time favorite trance tracks! That was one of the moments of the night!

M.I.K.E. is the fuking man... the ONLY +++trance+++ DJ that i ALWAYS respect on a consistent basis to produce and mix... armin van buuren comes second Glad you guys had a good time
