NEC meetup- the questions n the answers

1st of all we need to find out where and wot time??

alot of peeps r comin from different parts of the country at different times..we need to find a good time inbetween the best dj sets wen most peeps wouldn't b detered...
i still hink the chill out room at the far end of the digital revolution hall..mayb with a small sign or poster so we can all be clearly found. as i went last time i no that it gets rammed so the earlier the meet up the better.

on this thread we can also state wot eachother is wearin to make things easier.

also wot stoopid things is every1 bringin??
i think inflatable mallets is a sound idea!!

ne afterparts to be arranged??...nufin better than a good ole smoke after such a vigourous workout!!

hehe gettin xcited at the prospect!!

So is the plan to meet inside? If things don't change (which they invariably will) I'll be coming up from Bournemouth and meeting Miss Prox & Ant (plus whoever else comes up with them or wants to meet...JD?) at B'ham train station. We'll then go room/locker hunting. Then maybe grab a bite and a drink before going in depending on the time. Am I correct Miss Prox?

Meeting in the Chillout room sounds like a plan, but those coming alone or who don't know what anybody looks like, meeting outside could be a plan.

And yeah what's up with the after party's? Anybody actually live in Brum? If I end up getting a room we could try sneaking everyone up :0

hmmm... aftaparty is a good idea... but, for cheep train we need to book an exact train, so we need to decide if we're gunna have one or not b4 hand... and also... this afterparty will require music loud cuz when we have an afta-party we carry on dancin till about 10 or 11 am heheheh

I think meeting outside is a good idea.. so we can have a chat b4 the music deafens us... we need some kind of banner....

btw: nice top spad!

well spad, i'll definitely come with prox and andreas from london, so if you are there cool
(we'll prolly leave early to go to htfr)

and the best thing we could do i think is to meet somewhere near nec bout an hour befor going in, so we can chat a bit befor becoming deaf??

o.k so we meet before goininside then!..last time we got there pretty early n had to w8 for about 3hrs n we were at the front!..don't noi if the same will happen again but theres a hotel opposite the site with a bar..we had a coupla drinks there while waiting..if the weather's typicaly english then that cud be the plan??there are loadsa of possible meetin points at the NEC like the lounge area of the train station, the outside radio broadcast lorry (if its there again) or even at the front of the cue??..up to u guys!

i now no tho that my so called freinds hav decided to go to cream caus its cheaper and tiestos playin his debut there.i'l stil b cumin wiv one of my mates tho n wudn't mind travellin with the ta crew!..i.e proxi, spad, jd n andreas!!

still think inflatable mallets are the essential item for the nec!!whack whack boink!!

Yeah that's a good idea. It's be a laugh to all go for a couple of pints before going in. And to be honest most of us are arriving 3-4ish so we'll have some time to kill. I'll be coming up on my own but if we all find out when we're arriving we'll try to synchronise it. It might involve some people hanging about the train station upon arrival for 20-30 mins until the others get here or something.

As for the mallets - if you can get hold of 'em I'll gladly reimburse you the cost of one

heheh... just looked at the calendar... the good news is, the clocks go back an hour on saturday night... soooooo... XTRA FREE HOUR OF TUNAGE muahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahhahaha

basically, if u lot name a time we can pretty much within an hour b there i think swappage of sum mobby numbers would b a gud idea aswell.. but thats up to individuals

we need to make definate arrangements here, so we can book train tickets etc... me n neo av been talking about possible arrangments and heres what we come up with

7pm birmingham new street (place 2 b decided) to get our shit together.. planning on getting to the NEC for about 8ish

if anyone cant get for these times then say sumthin and we wil try to arrange it so it works 4 evry1

I'll be arriving at Birmingham station at 3-4ish but no probs. If I meet with ant & prox & JD first then we can meet you then, if I don't catch up with them first I'll just amuse myself for a few hours. May I suggest we meet in a public house so at least we've got something to do whilst waiting for the others.

We'll swap mobile numbers sometime next week too.

look here..ive made a name badge...this is so that we know who is who...if ya want it copy and paste it then print it out
...it should be about name tag size...u dont have to wear it but it mite be helpful...

right, we're into the final week of waiting.. it's time we made some definate decisions on this. we need to work out times and places. I think me, jeff and 'nita will be getting to b'ham new street station at about 6:30ish.. (not exactly sure tho cos jeff's got the tickets ) is the station at 7 still ok for everyone?

I don't know if we can make that, because I was planning on grabbing a bite to eat in Brum....have you guys already had dinner in Sheffield? Otherwise we could go with the whole group..and we can force Coup to eat pizza

Maybe that's just the best thing to do: wait for people to arrive in Brum, and when they do they call one of the others...so if we establish (lol) first who is gonna be first in Brum, maybe that's the person we should all call?

And how about that dinner G?

yeah, I think the dinner idea is cool... that way we can have a chat and get to know each other a bit beforehand.. that's if you don't starve before 6:30! and even if we do get some funny looks in our cyber-gear, lol!

Food sounds like a plan. I'm going to want to eat before going in coz I'll have been travelling all day. What's the plan though? Are you guys driving to the station to meet me then we're driving into the city center to eat or what? Will there be room? There'll be Volks driving plus you and Andreas. Is the girl volksjoolz mentioned going to be in the car too? Anybody else? You'll be strapping me to the roof-rack at this rate You know it's Digbeth station yeah? I've no idea what that means, is it the main one or what?

the main station is brum new street.. thats where we're headed.. feck knows where digbeth is...?

and you don't have to resort to the roof-rack yet volky's car has a nice comfortable looking boot!!

I've just checked a map... New street is in digbeth so it must be the same station
