Echo Xmas Edition -- Feat Solarstone (UK) Dec 18th@Soda Room

Echo Xmas Edition Featuring Trance Superstars Solarstone [UK]

Sat 18th Dec@SodaRoom sees Echo kick off the festive season with a very special surprise. Santas come early this year and hes brought with him one of the biggest names in trance at the moment, UK duo Solarstone.

As those present at last years Enchanted will agree they were one of the standout acts, so were very pleased to have them back in their one and ONLY performance in Adelaide as part of their national tour.

Solarstone are owners of Deep Blue records and producers of, in what many regard as the best trance track in the past 10 years with Seven Cities, and more recently the awesome Solarcoaster. Their productions and remixes are respected worldwide and have found their way into the boxes of all the big players, including Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren and recent Mixmag No.1, DJ Tiesto.

As DJs theyve headlined with Paul Van Dyk, and played alongside Marco V, Scott Bond & Matt Hardwick (Both Gatecrasher Residents) amongst others, as well as playing all the major UK festivals such as Gatecrashers recent Summer Sound System in Sheffield, to which they received outstanding reviews.

Come join them as they return to Adelaide and team up with Echo residents DJ Solace, Matt Parker & Dr Damage. $15 tickets available at the door only, so get there early to avoid disappointment as this will be a capacity event.

Event sponsored by 'E Solushons'

Unfortunately I will not be attending, I will be at Innercity at Amsterdam on that exact same night, sorta freaky, but I would prefer 10x to be seeing Solar Stone in Adelaide, with all the cool Adeladie people of course.

I'll try to get Petek to get some records signed for me.

Hi guys i have some bad news

The Solarstone tour has been cancelled. This tour may still go ahead with a different management company but unfortunately Adelaide would not be able to be involved, as the only date available would be the 4th December.

Sorry for any trouble this may cause.

Heath.

Here is what we recieved today from the management.

Hi everyone

Firstly, thank you all for your interest and involvement on this tour.

After speaking with management, we cannot meet the terms that have been put forward (outside of what was originally agreed to) and as such we have decided to cancel the tour.

Posted by Trance Nutter on Oct-21-2004 03:49:

Fuck.

nuff said.

Posted by stamper on Oct-21-2004 04:48:

awww....terrible news!!

Does that mean Solar Stone won't be coming to Australia at all now??

Much respect to you Solace anyway for giving it your best shot.

what does that mean? solarstone demanded something else and you wouldnt give it? or did u demand something else and solar stone wouldnt give?

Philby -- This had absolutely nothing to do with us or the other promoters putting them on. It was a failure on the managemet company who were brokering the actual tour. All states have missed out on this. Having said that another group are trying to get the tour back on track and reaching the terms they needed. So it may still go ahead, unfortunately for Adelaide, the only date that will be possible on the new tour(due to their available dates) would be 4th Dec, and all us here no that that date is a no go.

We are working on a replacement and should have some more concrete news tomorrow. If we get who we would like then you guys will still be very pleased.

Cheers.

Hi guys

Let's just get to the point on this with the facts of the tour. I wont let this discredit the company I work for so I am writing this message.

We had signed off on a deal that was negotiated at a certain fee x 6 appearances at that fee. The fee was reasonable, admittedly, prior to gaining full interest, however, we were unable to land all 6 shows at this agreed fee. So, to save the tour, we landed 3 smaller shows *including this Adelaide show* at a reduced fee which was 100GBP cheaper. In total, the tour was to consist of 5 shows *which mind you is great to land for any tour* and was to take part in 4 states.

We failed to meet the agreed 6 shows and also failed to meet the current shows at the agreed fees. I am more than happy to accept responsibility on this but I wont lie when I say this was relayed to their management at an earlier stage, resulting in the 3 smaller shows. For us it was all about making the tour work for the artists. Fees aside, they were planned to be in Aus for almost a month and were going to play at 2 major festivals. The rest is now history.

So to those die hard Solarstone fans, you'd have to fly to Perth or Melbourne (scheduled earlier as they wont be appearing at Advent*jah...press release coming soon for that).

If anyone has any queries I'd gladly respond to any PMs.

Cheers,
Pete.

Sorry Pete was just trying to put it a way people could understand. I know i appreciate what you had tried to do for us.

No stress at all mate

Posted by PulseFusion on Oct-22-2004 03:39:

It is a little unfortunate for everyone...

Solarstone is a class act and unfortunately these things happen, and also unfortunately the bottom line to almost everything is money.

Looking forward to whoever you're planning solace, no doubt it'll be a good night anyway.

Cheers everyone for tryin to make it happen at least anyway These things happen..

no chance of the enchanted crew picking them up again on the 4th?

Get to messaging mpk and devious, you never know. Just seen their summer house room(which has some trance) and it certainly is absolutely shite. I mean fucking Josh, Angel, phat controller(who is ok)and god knows what other bollocks. Very disapointing.

Hasnt the trance lineup ALWAYS been disappointing though? (i mean apart from solar stone last year). One of the reasons ive never been to one.
