Question Equipment suggestions...

Ok, so I have a budget of $1400 to spend on my equipment. What do you think would be the best bet to get for that price? And where should I get it?
Right now I'm lookin at the Vestax PCV-175 mixer, and the Denon DN-D4000 Dual CD/MP3 Player... is this a good choice? The CD player is going for $600 at TopDJGear.com, and the mixer is going for $300, for a total of $900. Is there anything better for under $1000, and if so, where do I get it?
I was told to get ahold of DJ Tranz via e-mail, but I don't know how to get ahold of him either...
Please advize...

E-mail him at [email protected]. Just put TA equipment purchase or something to that extent in the subject line.

thats a nice choice. personally though i would go for a slightly better mixer as you can afford it.. for example, the vestax pcv275, its a similar mixer to the 175 but just that bit better, with a few twiddly updates that make all the difference.

have you looked at single cd decks? you can get much more out of them... look at the dns3000, or the pioneer cdj800

Hey thanks you guys for the feedback! My internet has been down for about 3 days... I'm actually here right now from inside a coffe shop with wireless... hehe.
Anywayz, I think I just might go for those DN-S1000's. Those look about perfect. Although how much are those in US$? Well hopefully DJ Tranz would give me a good discount anyway.
And... check out my music if any of you have the time! It would be much appreciated! "Energy" is like #40 right now on the trance charts.

2 Used Technics for $350 each, then maybe a Vestax PCV-275? or a Ecler SmacPro 40?

That wouldnt be a bad setup...

I think my new setup will be 2 DN-S1000's, and a Vestax PCV-275 mixer. Personally, I need the CDJ's... I want to be able to mix my own music.

use serato or FS v 2.0 that way you can play vinyl and your own music.

Aye, I was looking at this software that allowed you to needle drop mp3's and such... but I realized that I would also need to get a laptop...

You can use your desktop instead for fs or serato.

Wouldn't that make me pretty much non-mobile?

Does djmart usually give a good discount for TA's?

although I have only owned CDJ-1000s for about 2 weeks I must say I can do so much more with CDJ's rather than vinyl. Like previous stated I love doing re-edits on the fly. Or playing an acapella on a CDJ and morphing it with effects. bouncing around in hot cues and etc.

Its fun! heh heh..
